2. Task- b:
Various vulnerabilities have been identified when cars are running on the road and by
chance, the vehicle gets out of control. In regards to such potential vulnerabilities that exists
while driving vehicles of different sizes, the concept of self-driving cars had come into sheer
existence. This was primarily towards the objective of increasing road safety and to mitigate
the chances of such road accidents due to cars going out of hand (Saquib, Ashraf and Malik
2017). As a reason, self-driving had been introduced and the design of such an infotainment
system has been developed, which will notify the driver regarding every single information as
well as if the condition of the vehicle is not good.
The designs that have been developed consists of the following core as well as
additional functionalities to support the concept of self-driving and to increase particular road
safety. The functionalities are,
i) GPS- the global positioning system is has been placed into the system that is
active at all times provisioning the driver with the knowledge of the current
location. In addition to this, the console GPS system will allow the driver to set a
location as a destination where the GPS will provide the person with the time to
reach and the distance that needs to be covered to reach the destination.
