SELF REFLECTION 2
Introduction
Self-reflection is an art to present the personal experiences from some event or happenings.
This is also considered as a process of rethinking about of an event and analyzing the
outcomes and learning from the same. This paper is the self-reflection of a preparing a group
presentation on healthcare services (Toros & Medar, 2015). The whole process is described
in a summarized and effective manner which also represents the various stages and
conditions faced by the group members. The reasons behind the outcomes received have also
mentioned providing an overview of the paper.
Self-Reflection
In this paper, I am going to describe my personal experience of working in a group for
making an oral group presentation in a team. My project presentation on ‘Customer
Relationship Management in Healthcare Delivery’ provided me with a chance to enhance
speaking and thinking ability on a critical topic. The hard work and dedication of all the team
members for the presentation paid off when our presentation was praised by the majority of
the students and also liked by our teacher (Estrada & Rahman, 2014).
One of the most important chance it gave me to analyze the level of services provided in the
healthcare industry. As there were four members of my team including two female members.
We decided to divide the total work among all of us to complete the presentation on time and
to make it after considering the multiple ideas.
I and another male member of the group took the responsibility to visit some healthcare
organization and to conduct an oral survey on by asking the patients and the staff members.
This sense of taking responsibility helped me a lot during all the presentation and I also came
to know that every duty and responsibility helps in improving behavior in personal life
(Barnard, 2011).
The female members of our team took the responsibility to analyze the literature review and
research online about the healthcare industry. Our group was very well coordinated and
managed and it gave me the sense and benefits of working together.
This presentation has given me a number of opportunities to communicate, to learn and to
present my ideas to others. I also came to know the exact meaning of analyzing something. I

SELF REFLECTION 3
quite hesitated in speaking in front of a group of members, and this was the main reason
because of which I told my team that I will not give the presentation because if I would, then
there are a lot of chances of ruining all the efforts. Then, one of the female members of my
team motivated me and helped me improve my abilities to communicate in front of whole the
class and the teacher. She made me explained that whatever I have analyzed during the visit
of the organizations and have experienced in the survey, I have to communicate the same in
my own words. Other group members also supported me and helped me in practice for the
same (Al-Rawahi & Al-Balushi, 2015).
On the day of our presentation, the other male member of my team fell sick and was not able
to join us. We all were worried as he was leading our team and was handling the
responsibility of starting the presentation.
I called him up and try to get as much information as I could at that time. Now it was my
responsibility to deliver the oral presentation. I was feeling nervous but at the same time, I
realized that it is the right time to deal with the fear of speaking in public and I also had no
option other than this (Tavýl, 2014).
I started delivering my presentation in front of all the class. At first, I was not able to make
eye contact but after one or two minutes I was able to speak with confidence. The total
presentation was of 15 minutes and it was completed successfully. All the students presented
there were praising our group efforts and coordination. The teacher of the related subject was
also satisfied with our work and wished us good luck for the results (Anon., 2018).
This group presentation taught me that how to work in a group and how to deal with the
problems that occur on the sudden basis. Along with this, it also gave me chance to discover
all the aspects and management practices of the healthcare industry. I came to know the
various loopholes because of which, patients do not able get treatment on time and thus, they
have to suffer from severe health issues.
I was feeling quite confident after giving the presentation and it helped me to know the right
manner of developing good relationships with the team members. It gave me an
understanding that any work can be done in a more effective manner if it is get completed by
more than a single effort or by a group rather than an individual.

SELF REFLECTION 4
Conclusion
On the basis of the above conclusion, it can be concluded that if groups are well coordinated
and arranged then the results from the group efforts are always admirable. Although it was a
small level to it gave me a lot of experience which helped me in the later stages of my
academic carrier. This reflection is wholly based on my personal experience and the learning
which I have got through this oral presentation. I have also mentioned my strengths and
weaknesses to present the appropriateness level of the outcome of the paper.
