1) Report:
The aim of this paper is to discuss the leadership growth of a person through the self-
reflection process. In this paper the factors which support the individuals to become a leader will
be analyzed and the scope of becoming an efficacious leader will be found out. Through the
dairy entries and finding in the hero and zero movements the aspects of the personalities are
clears based on which the leaders strengths and weaknesses can be analyzed. In this particular
analysis, there are some very implicit moments which inflect upon the personality and decision
making process of a person. Through these findings, it has been pointed out that I possess
capability of a leader as I think that leaders are never born but the situations and actions make a
common person a leader (Rasche, 2019). The main thing I have understood of any type of
leaders be it political or business they share some very common features.
One of the most important factors that I have found that most of the successful leaders
share in common is the capability to influence. Now if the leader himself is corrupt or incapable
to understand their responsibilities, they may not influence the mob or their subordinates. This
leads the companies to face issues and risks in the near future. In addition to this, the leaders
have the capability to show the eight directions to the employees or the followers. These are the
reasons why the leaders are to possess some of the very important features like team work,
communication social skills, decision making skills and problem solving abilities (Raelin, 2017).
The more the leaders are capable to solve their issues within a given time the more they get
success in the future along with popularity. Hence the objectives that the leaders set may not be
properly followed by the subordinates therefore the responsibilities of the leaders are more than
the others.

2) analysis and interpretation:
Leaders are the most prized assets of the organistion because they can drive the
institution to march towards a promiscuous future. A confident leader can change the face of the
organization as they have keen knowledge of the problem areas. As I have aimed to be a leader
in a reputed company therefore I need to point out the factors within me to understand how
much I am ready for becoming a leaders of my passion. Through this hero and zero moment I
have found out that I possess some of the capabilities of leadership. I have pointed out that I do
not have the risk taking mentality first of all, secondly, confidence is very low in making any
decision in a critical situation and I am a very nervous person. Thirdly I do not possess
reasoning power but escape in situations. I tend to be hypocrite to save my interest many times.
From the hero moment on the contrary I have found that I have an in depth capacity of
relationship building and maintaining those. In addition to this, it can be stated that I have
proper understanding of the responsibilities and I never leave the people in need. Thirdly, I have
the capability to foresee future as I have a perfect understanding of the human psychology. In
addition to all these, I am a good communicator and I have grown this skill by learing from
practical tasks as well as working in different departments and serving the customers in many
critical situations. Finally, I can say that as a person I have a high level of ethical and moral
understanding which stresses my conscience whenever I go for any wrong choice.
Leadership is a skill as I have mentioned with which a person is never born but they
acquire such skills with time and their hard work. Throughout my educations background I never
have been failed in any exams which clarifies that I am a hardworking and intelligent person. I
am a disciplined individual who tries to utilize the resources in an effective way. For becoming a
leader, this is very important that the person is capable in setting goals and keep himself

motivated enough to achieve those in timely manner. I possess excessive connectivity with the
family members and friends as I think them to be a part of my life. This relates to the social skills
that a leader must possess in the process of executing their power. As mentioned in the hero
moments. I have shown how I have been struggling with the terminally ill parents and still keep
on working in one hand and completing my study on the other. This reveals my capability to
achieve the work life balance and multitask in different ways. I work in the pressure situation
and critically manage time for the works I am assigned. I am capable to comfort the people
around me and create a situation of dependence upon me. This will be leading me to gain trust by
the employees working under me in terms of meeting requirements and setting goals (Komives
& Wagner, 2016). I have the ability to understand the emotions of the other. I have high
emotional quotient that mandates me to realize the emotion of the others and react in that way.
From the hero moments this is very much clear that I respect the views of the others and never
press others to implement my choice. This can have a negative aspect of leadership. This is due
to the fact that a leaders is expected to execute power by understanding the responsibilities which
will be supporting their views to be implemented among the subordinates. However, my style of
leadership is related with the democratic view where the leaders allow their subordinates to
contribute their views tin the decision making process.
Through the hero and zero moment I have understood that I have the capability of seeing
the consequences in the future as the result of any actions. I tend to think before making any
decision. This is one of the most important factors that makes the leaders perfect in the decision
making capability. In the hero moment I have mentioned that I have faced a situation when the
ex-husband a one our customer came and claimed to take the pictures. I however, identified the
customers immediately and rejected his requested. My intuition is strong that tells me where to

invest in this factors and where not (Hackett et al., 2018). I could see the future and stick to the
point where I feel not to be comfortable enough to make decisions. In case I gave the
photographs t the ex-husband tat world have given him leverage to abuse the customer who sued
him in divorce case. As I have mentioned I have the perfect understanding of the human
psychology to understand their emotions and this has guided me in my life in a great way. I
believe this intuitions and foreseeing capabilities are needed among the leaders.
I am a confident person and this has been grown within me due to the fact that I have
worked in different organizations in different positions I have the expertise to sell things to the
customers, serving them at my best, deal with them directly and solved their issues at my best.
This in one hand has led me to gain confidence to communicate with the stakeholders and gain
knowledge about the business operations on the other. I can judge the critical situations and tae
initiatives needed as early as possible (Mkhize, 2019). This connects to the factor through which
the subordinates of a leader know about the problem areas and see their leaders to work
accordingly. This strengths the team and grow employee morale. Finally I can point out that I
have strong ethical decision making due to which I was never willing to go with my fried to steal
a headphone from store. I never support the corruption process and harm others in order to
achieve my own goals.
Despite the fact that I have many a capabilities of the leaders but there is always a scope
for improvement. From the zero moments this has been proved that I am a very nervous person
which keeps me think more about the situations and their consequence more than reacting. The
leaders need to be active in their roles. There is no scope for a passive person or inactive
individual to develop themselves as a leader in a competitive scenario. I lack the confidence in
the more critical situation as mentioned in the zero moment where a woman was abused by a

man in the lift. I could have prevented the man to use his physical power and harass the helpless
woman but I did nothing. I was inactive in that scenario and got scared by this situation. There
will be numerous conditions where I as a leader will be facing more shocking situation. This can
be the fierce rage of the employees, pressure from the company CEO and accusation of
corruption in the company’s financial department. The risk taking capability which marks the
leaders in a crowd is not seen in me. I do not take risks for face the risky situation rather escape
from it. I therefore did not go to the police station with my friends after they were arrested for
stealing. In the pressure situation I also did not tell the truth to the officer but later succumbed. I
have therefore understood that for being a leader, ethical support is the most essential factor.
This proves me to be a hypocrite person that may prevent my subordinates to develop a negative
image about me. They will not be able to grow trust upon me and my decision which will lead
me to fail as a leader.

In order to transform my weaknesses as the strength, I need to follow some very important
actions. These will include:
I need to be a team player. This is due to the fact that the leaders need to think himself to
be a part of the team members only then he will understand where the exact problems lie
and try to solve those.
Secondly I as a leaders need to be an expert in the subject. This is the place where the
subordinates will be finding my superiority. An expert in the subject can handle any
situation because knowledge gives confidence. Whenever I will be more knowledgeable

than the other team members, they will start to obey my instruction and any type of
conflicts will be eliminated in any way.
I need to learn to communicate well so that through my communication I can keep the
relationships transparent. In case I fail to express my points of view in an effective
manner then there will be a confusion among the subordinates that may lead me to face
risks.
I do not take risks for face the risky situation rather escape from it whch implies the fact
that risk taking mentality is another factor that I need to grow within myself. I have the
ability to foresee the consequences of the conditions therefore realizing the outcomes will
be easy to understand. Thus I will be growing my risk taking capability and solve many
unexpected complexities before me.
Finally it can be stated that changing my skills all the time according to the changing
situation is needed so that I can corporate innovative ideas creatively in the problem
solving process. Therefore as a leader need to be ready for facing any type of situation
and overcome those situations through my knowledge, intelligence, emotions and ethical
decision making. for that matter the
