INTRODUCTION
Professional values are described within ethical codes of healthcare professionals. In fact,
ethical codes justify nursing profession practices and the quality of professional care which
should be provided to service seekers (Bamat and et. al., 2021). Whereas, it has been determined
that advancements in technologies and expand of roles of nurse practitioners have provoked
tangle and in some cases complex ethical dilemmas for each nurse practitioners (Bassot, 2015).
This report underpins of clinical incident i.e. self-SWOT analysis as well as discussion of role of
a professional within healthcare sector on Zoom class that made me to analyse my strength,
weakness, opportunities and threat and suitable role of my future practice.
MAIN BODY
Description
It is a first stage of Gibb's model, which shows what was the scenario of the situation that
is encountered by a person (Camerinoand et. al., 2019). It can provide whole background of
situation learning about what happened, when it occurred, who was there when it occurred and
so on.
When I achieved information that I am going to do self- SWOT analysis, I got extremely
excited as I was going to acquire number of learning about myself and also it can also show
several aspects of self learning and also I was going to attain knowledge and experience of
clinical procedures here in UK and the ethical style of practice of a professional. In class, I also
attained information that students have to select one profession that they will also like to choose
in their future practice, for that I choose my profession as physiotherapist. While in class, I
encountered multiple learning in regards with roles and responsibilities of the professionals
working in health and social care of different professionals, as in my case I chooses
physiotherapist as my profession and explored about its roles and responsibilities as well as their
ethical duties and which helped me to enhance my overall knowledge and skills. Also in class,
there were some of them are positive and negative factors that came across which described my
self potential and foster my confidence. It was self SWOT analysis, in which I have underpin my
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threat. In my opinion, it is effective practice, as it can
help an individual identify own plus points as well as our negative points, that can be improvise
my lacking and myself eligible to perform my future practice in a effective way. As I have

discovered that in the profession of physiotherapist, there are number of professional behaviours
are present that can facilitate in refining clinical approach and clinical profession.
Moreover, I was also impressed and amazed after identifying my strength, weakness,
opportunities and threat. According to me, swot analysis is technique that can taught to analyse
one's performance and can help them to evaluate on what they are good at and what are areas of
which need to be improved. Strength: my strength which I discovered while doing SWOT
analysis on myself our good communication, ability to work good under pressure and ask for
assistance if it is needed, effective working life balance, good at organising and on-top of work
pressure, keen and quick learner, able to accept guidance and feedback and also able to act upon,
effective technical skills that can help me in recording individual's details, good taking and
maintaining notes and can also write clearly, good at addressing and acknowledging problems of
patients, good at establishing therapeutic relationships with others, able to develop and apply
patient as well as my own safety, best at maintaining ethics and its associated models.
Weakness: My weaknesses which I have discovered while in class are thinking about
long term goals, time management, remembering objective measures for each individuals.
Whereas, my opportunities which I have determined as group work, hydrotherapy, MDT
approach, holistic rehab. And also, I have also achieved learning in respect to gain threats,which
are time constraints, emotional or agitated pain with other, physical and emotional challenges
while treating my patients, family pressure or pressure from carers of patients.
Feelings
The feelings is a second stage in which it can provide learning what were my feeling
while this clinical incident prevailed (Fernando and Lindley, 2018). At first, doing Swot on
myself was interesting, I felt like I will as it provides learning about myself. This clinical
incident is termed to positive for me. Because, it provided me, vision where I can enhance my
professional skills for my future practice. As in, where I should work on and what are strength
that I have in my profession, what are other requirements. It also provides opportunities to look
on and what are the threats that can become barrier while providing effective practices to
individuals and raise interruption in my future practice. I was feeling that I will get a chance to
observe my own skills. I felt the strength which I will be covering through this assessment can
be helpful in my future practice and will be beneficial for the people whom I will be assisting
further.
