Short Scene of Two Characters Meeting for the first time
Location – Green Street, London, U.K.
Present Time – 23:47 A.M.
Troy, 30, athletic build, deep blue eyes, hair colour black, wearing gym clothes, a cap of the
England Cricket Team on his head, waiting in front of his Chevy, for the person who wanted
to meet him at such short notice.
Troy
I wonder why that fellow called me up all of a sudden. He claims he is the family lawyer
himself, but why is it that I have never heard about him before. Weird!! But then again,
maybe he is the new lawyer about whom grandma was telling me yesterday. (Sighs!!)
Anyways, let’s wait.
Troy keeps fiddling with his wristwatch as well as looking in all directions of the road to see
if any other human being or vehicle other than his can be seen down the road itself.
Troy
(After fiddling the watch and waiting for ten minutes, a bit irritated) Come on man!! That guy
should have been here five minutes ago!! I did not even get the opportunity to change my
clothes (stared down both directions of the road, a bit angry), that is it!!! two more minutes
and I am out of here.
When suddenly he finds a car coming from the other side of the road. The car is an Audi,
does not look like it has been used much, stops on the opposite direction of the road were
Troy’s car is parked. From it, comes out an obese man in his mid-50’s, bald head, spectacled
eyes, a hawk like nose and corporately dressed. Someone who looks like a person who
always gets what he wants and does not take no for an answer.

Person
(Sees Troy and approaches him) Excuse me Mister!! I am sorry but are you Troy Nelson?
Troy
(Observes the stranger) Yes… I am Troy Nelson, but are you the person named Matthew
Striker who called me an hour ago?
Person
(Glancing over the way Troy is dressed) Yes…..yes, you are exactly right, I am Matthew
Striker, the person who called you an hour ago. However, I must admire your suspicions
young man!! You are right!! I am not really your new family lawyer. That was just a way to
get you out here so that I can talk to you. However, you have quite the dressing sense for
meetings I must presume (laughs).
Troy
(Instantly getting alert, a cold look appearing in his eyes) Who are you then? (One hands goes
into the pocket of his pant which conceals the Swiss Army Knife, which he always keeps
with him for safety) What do you want with me?
Matthew
(Still laughs) No need to worry son!! I am not a kidnapper or a bad man. (Still sensing the
uneasiness in Troy), Okay….Okay!! I will reveal my true identity to you. I am Matthew
Striker, the Director in Charge of Mi5. I guess you know what that is right…….Major Troy
Nelson, ex – S.A.S?

(A bit surprised) The British Secret Service!! What does the British Secret Service want with
me?

Matthew
We know about your career history with the S.A.S Major. We know of your
accomplishments as well as what kind of soldier you were in the army. The Nazis are coming
Major. The whole world is in grave danger. Hitler’s forces have already occupied France and
Russia. Major, the Secret Service requires the service of an honourable soldier and a cold
blooded killer liken you to infiltrate the Nazis in France. Please come out of voluntary
retirement Major.
Troy
(Thinks about the offer for a bit) All of that is in my past Mr. Striker. I am an ordinary citizen
now.
Matthew
(Smirks) Ordinary citizens do not carry Swiss Army knives in their pockets to the gym
Major. (Walks back to the car) Think about the offer Major. Remember that the whole world
is in danger and you will be a hero of you take this mission up (gets in the car). Also, your
name has been referred to the Mi5 by Prime Minister Churchill himself (throws Troy a card).
You know where to reach me if you take the mission up (starts the car drives away).
Troy
Prime Minister Churchill? (catches the card and glances at the details in it), looks like
something really bad is about to happen to the world (gets in the car, thinking about whether
he should take up the mission or not, starts the car and drives away as well).
