Should Britain leave the European Union?INTRODUCTIONThe Britain joined the European Union on 1 January 1973 under the governance of Edward Health but within a year only the European Union faced major problems in financing the budgets, agriculture, etc. There was not a great relationship between the Britain and the European Union and the Britain found that the European Union is an arrogant partner to work with and never had a great tuning with the European Union. In 1984 the Britain was declared as the poorest member of the European Union community but on the other hand, Britain became thelargest contributor to the budget of European Union. In 1992 there was a panic among London traders when Britain was extruded from the mechanism of the exchange rate. In 2011 the leaders of European Union tried to tackle the problems and issues through signing a treaty based upon new budgets and laws. Soon, the prime minister promised a referendum on the membership of Britain. The thesis statement is that the Britain should leave the European Union because it is strong enough to rule the world alone. And this is a great topic to discuss as this will help us in understanding the economic and political conditions of the Britain and the European Union during the time of partnership and what would happen if they stay or leave that partnership. The following are the points which include counter argument and the main argument, and the evidence is also given which makes the counter argument weak. The main issues are discussed like how the European Union is drained on British economy, how Britain is affected as EuropeanUnion is a regional security instructor, etc. (Stewart, 2016)The counter argument isthe European Union is a drain on the British economy. The members of the European Union spent 80 percent of the European Union financial budget. The money put by the members of European Union is equal to the wealth of Britain. The European Union acts asa central government and redistributes the money to the poor sections of the rich sections. And because of this reason the Britain should not leave the European Union. In the main argument, the Britain should leave the European Union because the European Union acts a drain on Britain. The money which is given to the European Union from the Britain is scattered among bureaucracy and money is wasted on agricultural policy. The wealth is unequally distributed among the sectors. The European Union is using more wealth of Britain as compared to its wealth and wasting it into such policies which are of no use. And because of the help of Britain's wealth only the European Union acts a central government. Therefore, the counter argument is weak and the Britain should leave the European Union, and the Britain can utilize its wealth in a much better way after leaving the European Union. (Metro, 2016)The counter argument is the European Union is a regional security guarantor. The European Union member states cooperate with the other member states and helps in increasing peace and harmony among them. The European Union also acts as a negotiator for the better international governance and conventions and supports them. The European Union handles all the international security issues with ease. And because of this reason the Britain should not leave the European Union. In the main argument, the Britain should leave the European Union because there is no need to depend on a regional security guarantor as new bonds and relations oftrade can be easily established without depending on any security guarantor for peace and 1
