Learning and Development Experiences of Self Initiated Expatriate Women in UAE

This research study explores the experiences of self-initiated expatriate women in the United Arab Emirates in terms of learning and development. The study included qualitative semi-structured interviews with 12 SI-E women from UAE, focusing on work culture, values, and attitudes. The findings suggest that SI-E women face challenges in receiving organizational support for development and learning, as well as privileged treatment in the workplace.

The Research Study
The article, 'Learning and development
experiences of self initiated expatriate women
in the United Arab Emirates' illustrates the
self initiated experience of the women in the
domain of experience and learning in UAE.
This study of the qualitative domain of the
self initiated expatriate women illustrates the
development and construction of female
reflecting upon their own experiences of
development and learning.

Methodology
The study included collection of data qualitative semi
structured interviews. Some of the factors hat were
considered while collection for the data:
Total 12 SI-E women from UAE were identified
Snowball sampling techniques
Selection for variation and reflection to ranges
Individual semi structured interviews
Cross cultural management research
The interviews were recorded among 70-130 mins .
Larger research study focused on perceptions and
experiences
Work culture, values and attitudes are some of the major
factors.

Findings of the study
The research study explained the social
selves of the SI-E women and their continuing
negotiation and the navigation by the means
of cultural, social and the legal procedure.
The article critiques the fact that the SI-E
women fail towards receiving the
organizational support for the development
and the learning and also the privileged
treatment in the workplace.
