This article examines the influence of gender and emoticons on Facebook jealousy. It discusses the factors associated with online jealousy and the impact of emotions and gender on Facebook jealousy. The study consists of three experiments conducted with college students from a liberal arts college in the United States. The article also highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the study and discusses its ethical considerations.
