and for protecting the environment. Further it supports organization in creating word of mouth for
the Black lion company. It plays significant role in making brand popular and in gaining
competitive advantage. It develops positive feeling among the customers toward the brand which
focus on planting more trees for a green environment and for educating poor children. These
activities also support in gaining publicity and make brand popular in markets (Cheng, Ioannou,
and Serafeim, 2014). There are many corporate social responsibility which can be implemented by
the organization such as women empowerment, society benefits, environment protection etc.
Among all of them implementation of environment protection is one of the best activity which help
in gaining the competitive advantage. The present research is conducted so that significance of
corporate social responsibility for the Black lion hotel can be understand effectively.
Aim: To analyse the impact of implementation of environment protection practices for driving
financial performance and to gain competitive advantage- A study of Black Lion hotel
Objectives:

There are different analytical measure which has been undertaken by researcher for conducting
whole research.
Research design: Research design is very important for the researcher in order to carry out
research in systematic manner. It support in selecting logical patters for starting the
investigation. There are different type of research design such as exploratory, descriptive
and explanatory (Smith, 2015). Further the selection of research design need to be done by
researcher carefully because it impact the finding of study. In this report researcher used
descriptive research design for identifying the effect of CSR activities on Black lion
financial performance.
Research philosophy: The research philosophy show the different assumption in concern
to research strategy. Further it assists in study and understanding the different hypothesis
and practices. Selection of research philosophy is done on the basis of values and beliefs
which justify the whole research. There are different type of research philosophy that is
realism interpretivsim and positivism (Panneerselvam, 2014). In a positivism research it
contains of highly structured method in which scholar used statistical tools and techniques
for analysing the result. In the present study researcher used interpretivsim which is based
on belief and values. This research philosophy help in understanding the importance of CSR
activities for Black Lion company in order to fulfil responsibility toward the surrounding
environment.
Research approach: There are two type of research approach which help researcher in
understanding the entire research in systematic manner. This approach is of two kind that is

deductive and inductive. In deductive approach existing theory is tested, then hypothesis is
developed for carrying out whole research (Dumay and Cai, 2015.). On the other hand in
inductive approach new theory is constructed after gathering the information and data of
conducted study. Selection of research approach is done on the basis nature of research
purpose. In the present research scholar used inductive research for deep understand the
positive and negative aspects of Corporate social responsibilities. In inductive research
researcher focus on conducting new theory by collecting the new information with the help
of qualitative techniques.
Data collection: For carrying out research in systematic manner and for appropriate
outcome researcher need to collect information in concern to problem and issues from which
Black Lion is facing at the time of implementation of corporate social responsibility. In
present research researcher used to collect both primary and secondary information in order
to accomplish the aims and objectives of whole research. In primary research information is
collected which is fresh and new while in secondary research information is collected which
is already published by different publisher. Apart from this there are different method for
collecting primary data such as questionnaire, interview, survey etcs. In this study
questionnaire is used for collecting the information while secondary information is collected
through the books and journals. Questionnaire is prepared on the basis of aims and
objectives so that valid outcome can get of conducted research. It assist in getting
appropriate information in relation to the CSR activities and way to successfully
implementation within the organization (Riedl, Davis and Hevner, 2014.). This also help in
enhancing the level of validity and reliability of entire study. The employees are taken into
consideration for asking the question in concern to different corporate social responsibility
of Black lion hotel.
Sampling: For sampling there are two type of measure which are used to mean to divide
respondent of research in a proportionate manner (Tarone, Gass. and Cohen, 2013.). In
present investigation researcher take 15 employees of Black lion street hotel for sampling.
Sample random sampling method is used so that employee get equal chance to be selected.
This is appropriate method for sample from large population.
Data analysis: It is important part of the research project in which all the collected
information need to analysed by using appropriate tools and techniques. It assist in attaining

the aims and objective of research for getting valid outcome. For analysing the information
there are different tools and techniques which can be used by researcher such as qualitative
and quantitative techniques (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault, 2015). Quantitative techniques is
used by the researcher when it collect information in numeric from and data. In this there are
different statistical tools are applied such as Z test, chi square test, SPSS etc. on the other
hand in qualitative techniques themes and charts are prepared for interpreting the collected
data. In present study qualitative techniques is used for analysing the collected data and
information in concern to Black Lion hotel corporate social responsibilities.
Ethical issues: Ethical issues are known as moral implication at the time of conducting
entire investigation. There are some ethical consideration which are adopted so that none of
respondent face any ethical issued because of researcher (Mackey and Gass, 2015.). Firstly
approval is taken from respondent who are involved in present research of Black lion Hotel.
P6 Recommendations
With the assistance of the present study it is understood by the researcher that a highly
crucial and vital role is played by CSR activities in the success of any business enterprises. It has
also been found by the researcher that Black Lion has though adopted various measures in the
direction of fulfilling its social responsibilities, there still exists certain areas which needs
improvement. Thus, the following are certain recommendations for the Black Lion, in order to
attain competitive advantage in market on the basis of its CSR activities:
A separate and distinct team or department shall be developed to carry develop strategies for
CSR activities as well as effectively implement the same at different levels of operations.
This shall in addition, enhance the focus of the company on these activities, thereby
improving the effectiveness with which these are executed.
Special Training and Development programme shall be designed and conducted to enable
the employees to understand the importance of these activities and different ways of
enhancing the same effectiveness.
A proper functional feedback mechanism shall be installed to stay appraised with loopholes
existing at different levels of implementation. This shall enable the company to continuously
improve the quality of their services.

environment can be reduced. Further it also helps organization to build good image of its
Brand in markets.
Further, Black lion hotel can take make separate department who take responsibility of
implementation CSR activities. It helps in implementing the CSR activities in systematic

Employee should be provide training and development facility for making them aware of
CSR activities and for encouraging them to participant in implementation of its. This help
organization in achieving success.

From the above research it is evaluated that for carrying out research it is necessary to select
appropriate title which is appropriate for study. Then on the basis of aims different objective are
need to made so that aim can be achieved in systematic manner. Further I analysed that there are
different method through which data can be collected and analysed. In present research Black Lion
hotel is implementing the corporate social responsibilities in order to understand gain competitive
advantage. For this purpose there are different kinds of information which is collected by researcher
that it primary and secondary in order to get valid outcome. It also evaluated that Gantt chart need
to framed with proper research activities and its time for for completion of each activity. Further I
also understand the method of preparing Gantt chart and its uses for carrying out research. After
preparing the Gantt chart it is necessary to monitor it regularly so that if any changes required then
it can be made on time. For collecting the information primary method is used in which information
is collected through survey and question asked from selected respondents. I also understand the
method of constructing the question on the basis of aims and objectives. Apart from this there are
different techniques for analysing the data such as qualitative and quantitative which help in getting
valid outcome in accordance to its objective. I also understood the way of preparing themes and
chart on the basis of result of survey. It help in interpretation the collected information in systematic
manner. The qualitative technique is very effective which help in analysing the result effective
manner. This support in finding out the research.
