Introduction
Policies and procedures play a vital role as these provides support to the individual
facing a significant life event and to the families of the individual.
Different organizations adopted different policies and procedures for supporting the
individual.
Different individuals need to focus on providing support to the individual so as to
help them in coping with the significant life event.
There are different external sources which provides support to the individuals.

Different policies and procedures are being adopted by the organizations with a
motive to provide support to the individuals suffering from significant life event
such as dementia. These policies and procedures include:
Counselling
Maintaining respect and dignity
Reporting of malpractices
Effective care plans

Conclusion
Thus, policies and procedures have contributed towards the quality of the services offered to
the dementia patient.
Different social networks are providing support to the bereaved individuals and these social
networks are discussed in this presentation.
It has also discussed the suitability of the external sources in providing support to the
individual facing the significant life event.
