Discussion
Greetings, Dr. Pampkin, the discussion question for this week is quite interesting and
enthralling. I, unlike others am not significant researcher and disliked researching for articles
and papers to read as it is quite difficult to acquire. However, few years ago I had come
across google scholar, which I used for searching articles and book as it was the most easy
and simple way.
As I am learning about new sources and places where these articles are also available and can
be derived without any nuisance, I am using other resources like Walden University Library.
I had chosen the article “Why (Not to) choose Psychiatric mental health nursing” as per the
suggestion as it seemed quite fascinating and had gauged my attention. The arena chosen is
avoided by most of the nurses but in contemporary times the problem of mental health is
widely displayed especially in young individuals. As opined by Noh, Kim and Kim (2013),
because of the modern demand the profession of psychiatric nurses needs to be extensively
adopted and is a unique career option with lot of scope to acquire knowledge and experience.
It is important to be aware of various types of online database for emergency. However,
Walden library is used to acquire credible articles and is quite easily accessible (McAuliffe,
Bostain and Witchel, 2019). The students encounter huge variety of database and can access
those for obtaining additional knowledge and information on nursing. The library provides a
wide range of resources to the students that helps them to retrieve and locate roust research.
The most interesting part about the source is that if there are any glitches during the research,
you can easily contact the librarian who will respond to your concern in a very friendly and
effective manner (McIntyreHite, et. al. 2018).
