1CATHOLIC SOCIAL THOUGHT
The Catholic social thought or teaching point to Catholic doctrines about the dignity
of a human and the idea of common good within a society. This school of thought addresses
oppression, social organizations, the role of the state, the matter of concern when it comes to
social justice and issues that arise because of unequal by distribution. English article three
principles of the Catholic social thoughts will be discussed and how the two concepts of the
self and the community are interrelated. Catholic social thought or teaching has relevance in
all fields of humanity and even in the nursing field; the school of thought focuses on the
welfare of mankind and the importance of contribution to the society as a method of helping
the self. This is an advanced subject as it takes into consideration various times of orthodox
social structures that have been deemed unnecessary by many.
There are 9 principles of Catholic social thought: the first being the dignity of human
person, second being the common good for the society, third the preferential option for the
poor, fourth subsidiarity, v the universal purpose of goods, sixth the stewardship of creation,
seventh the promotion of peace, eighth will be participation in 9th global solidarity.
Catholic scripture makes it very clear to all the leaders of the world that every person on this
planet is made in the likeness of God. The idea of human dignity originates in this very belief
in a radical slave and it is the very foundation of all Catholic social teachings. Since everyone
is made in God's image and we are all gods’ children, despite the fact that we are and what
you earn we are all the same. This especially needs to be kept in mind. As nurses serve
various kinds of people who come to the hospital, no nurse should serve percentage because
she is of the idea that difference makes people lose their dignity (Calo, 2015). To be someone
who actively cares for the society and works for it, human dignity is to be recognized as the
basis of all the relationships that are formed in the way (Sorokins, 2017). In this case the self
in the community are interrelated because every one of us are made in the likeness of God
and as we are all equals. If you respect ourselves we have to respect people who just like us

and when we respect them we respect ourselves. The self is the part of the community and
interrelation is only natural because the self cannot exist outside the community. To maintain
the dignity of the self, once on eyes and in God's eyes one must ensure that the dignity of
others are maintained as well. Nurses are earned with the duty of taking care of people who
are just like brothers and sisters, gifted with the same virtues like everyone else, does one
must continue to work for the dignity of a human being without keeping any barriers in
between (Constable, 2012).
The principle of common good is yet another principle that focuses on the dignity of a
human being and believes that social lives of people should be related to it in every aspect to
ensure the unity and equality of humanity. The common good is in totality e the conditions
allowing groups of people or singular people to reach fulfillment in an easier manner. if
everybody took into consideration the problems of others and work actively to ensure that
everybody coexists in a way that actively helps every organism. This is where self and
community come in and interrelatedness will only serve to benefit both (Tablan, 2015). If
people work for the good of other people it means that other people also working for their
good, and singular good will be positive for humanity because we are all the same and we
require mostly the same things. In the nursing field every nurse works towards doing well to
all kinds of people. Nurses have to face death and diseases on a regular basis and it is
traumatic. But they have learnt to console themselves as whatever happens for the good and
that all of it is a part of the Lord's plan. anointed to do common good one must not let
impediments get in the way and one must continue to do good, this society will have tape and
illness and it is all a part of mortality but this must not stop anyone from doing good to
others.
The Catholic social thought focuses on the principle of promotion of peace as well.
Please ensure that no violence takes place and this can be ensured by dropping in the
