Introduction:The overall credibility of enterprises or organization in the current economy is highly driven bythe quality of services provided by them. Further, the task is even tougher for health and socialcare organizations that are liable behind the medical conditions of the patients and needful users.The following study would demonstrate the critical condition of health and social careorganizations in terms of meeting customer demands and requirements and fulfilling therespective objectives of the enterprise. Moreover, like any other department, placement of theprofessionals is also sensitive and has huge impact towards the overall performance of theenterprise in society and economy as a whole. Thus, the following study would undertake asituational analysis of International youth centre and highlight my experience regardingplacement activities and other organization standards. Assessment of situational analysis:Since social services requires care workers and other professionals to be extremely humble andcaring while performing the activities, it is necessary for the HR department of the company toassess the overall behavior of respective professionals and perform placement accordingly(Balfour, A. and Lammers, C. 2017). Elaborating about my case, I have a habit of reviewing myown performance and approach of organization to calculate the overall credibility and check thequality of the services provided by respective parties. Further, in order to reconstruct theparameters of social disclosure, each and every care worker should reflect their respectiveperformance from time to time and cope up with the obligations and objectives of the enterprise. Moreover, implication of productive theories is also necessary to perform the reflection activitiesin an appropriate manner and to productively highlight the overall working climate of health andsocial care organization. Linking the same, for the current reflection Schon’s theory of reflectionhas been considered which is comprises of two parts such as reflection on action and reflection inaction (Balfour, A. and Lammers, C. 2017). While reflection on actions states about the previousexperience, reflection in action highlight the current practices or activities. Thus, after gettingplacement in International youth centre, following outcomes were derived after implementing theparameters of situational analysis. Page | 3

Setting of practice:I was suppose to provide mental support to people suffering from mental disease as myplacement were related to evaluate the overall mental condition of people or needful users.Further, I was also supposed to comply with all the formalities and regulations stated undermental health act 2007 so as to secure the legal boundaries of the enterprise and pay goodamount of attention towards patients or needful users. Since the varieties of mental disease werequite high, we were supposed to be reflective in all our actions and contribute towards enhancingthe condition of the patients in an appropriate manner (BROOK, P. 2012). Elaborating moreabout the same, International youth centre have a practice of considering the performance of thecare workers over and above the reflection which is quite depressing and common in this field. In order to fulfill my obligations and perform all the responsibilities in an appropriate manner,some HR professionals assist me towards the performance of duties so as to reduce the numberof mistakes or errors to minimum. Moreover, I was also been introduced to the rules andregulations of Practice Competency Framework (PCF) which comprises of overallresponsibilities of social worker and which direction to follow while fulfilling the respectiveobjectives or goals. The framework also comprises of ethical standards which each and everycare worker and other staff need to follow in order to satisfy the customers on personal level andmaintain the professionalism of the entire health and social care (BROOK, P. 2012). Analysis:While performing the medical or mental treatment procedures, I came across many patients orpeople suffering from multiple diagnoses which further create sound problems for me toincorporate properly and perform my duties with 100% honesty or objectivity. Moreover, afterassisting many patients or people with respective treatment activities, I intensely involved withone of the patients known as William Hussey. This patient was born in United Kingdom itself,and major part of my placement or obligation was to enhance the mental condition or overallhealth of WH through necessary or productive techniques (Connell, J. 2011). The patient washaving multiple mental diagnoses and has been treated in other hospitals or health and social careorganizations before but condition did not improved. I was suppose to take care of WH and usePage | 4

to often meet him outside the enterprise to create cordial relationship with the same as it helps tocontinue with the medical treatments properly. We often go for a walk or hang around so as to understand the mind set of WH and make himcomfortable in my company. Even though I know about all the mental and health problems WHis suffering from, the enterprise did not allow me to check the personal details of the patient interms of confidentiality which put some stress on me while I was working to help the patientthroughout the day (Connell, J. 2011). Further, I have to give more than 100% to my job in astretch of 5 to 6 hours which was affecting me health conditions badly day after day. Whileinteracting with WH, I encounter his dissatisfaction with previous health and social careorganizations as profit maximization was their primary motive which keeps haunting the mentalcondition and stability of WH throughout the treatment. Further, the patient also applauded mytechnique of treatment and states his satisfaction with delightful integrity. The curiosity of WH to meet me every time enhances my motivation level and creativity whileperforming the treatment activities in best possible manner. While communicating with WH, Ialso found the poor impact of the economy towards the minds of patients or people as they arevery shy in bringing up their problems in front of everyone as society is not really concernedabout the same and does not pay attention to it. Further, as mentioned above, involvement oftheory based practices or approaches are necessary to understand the actual obligation of socialworkers and perform according to the necessity (Cook, M. 2012). Linking the same, in thecurrent case I implemented six concerned addictions rescue system (SCARS) so as to perform allthe activities or operations with utmost priority and responsibility and enhance the overallcondition of the patient rapidly. Further, I literally believed that my performance was not up to the mark and could have beenimproved through the collaboration of patience and proper skills. Further, I also failed to applymy views towards social cause and was too much concerned about the values of the enterprisewithout assessing whether the same is correct or not. The enterprise also lacks in the departmentof gaining more and more information such as from internal or external sources which furtherreduce the overall credibility and efficiency of the entire quality of service (Cook, M. 2012).With the help of additional or productive information, care workers like us would be able toPage | 5

perform the responsibility with more seriousness and efficiency and fulfill the respectiveobligation in an appropriate manner. The internal environment of the enterprise is highly affected due to poor practices and businessapproaches of International youth centre which further restrict the overall effectiveness andefficiency of the enterprise in the market place. Further, the enterprise also failed to providepractice knowledge and theories as I was unable to satisfy the realistic queries of WH and otherpatients in an appropriate manner which further led to customer or patient dissatisfaction.Moreover, cultural issues have also been experienced by me while performing the duties as manyof times I was unable to connect with the cultural talks of WH which reduce some level ofcomfort between two of us (Grieco, M. 2016). Lack of personal interactions with the patients isagain one of the major cons of the above mentioned health and social care as formation ofcordial relationship is necessary and relevant to perform appropriate treatment and evaluate theoverall condition of the individuals. I got least guidance and consultation from other managers and highly qualified professionals ofthe enterprise which keep my overall performance to below average category and resulted in lossof many customers seeking help or assistance from these health and social care organizations.Lack of training and coaching from respective HR department is undoubtedly one of the worstscenarios in the current market place, where training and monitoring is controlling the entiredirection of the enterprise in the field of society or economy. On my part, I could have enhancemy engagement level with the patients and studied more about their experience with previousorganizations or care workers in order to understand the overall nature and behavior of thepatient (Grieco, M. 2016). I also failed to create two way communications with many otherpatients which further create hesitation for the patients to speak their minds and state about realproblems. Some other restrictions from the enterprise regarding the visiting hours and unofficial visits keepthe patients unhappy and dejected which further reduce the overall performance level andefficiency standards of the organization in a bad way. All these practices needs to be re-definedor re-modified by the organizations providing health and social care services in order to trulyhelp the needful users and other individuals in best possible manner. All these actions workedagainst the enterprise in the market place and enhance the list of customer dissatisfaction in thePage | 6
