Your task: Answer the following questions. Each question must be completed.
Question 1
The process of monitoring work operations is often broken down into six stages. Name 3 of
these.
The process of monitoring can is helpful for measuring the effectiveness of a project or
operation of the organization. The better monitoring can provide better outcomes to the
management of an organization and the managers can enlarge the productivity of employees
for getting the better outcomes. Basically the process of monitoring work operation includes six
major steps and three out of them are described below:
Measurement of the operative performance: It is the necessary step and in this step the
management need to measure the effectiveness of operations and they should try to implement
the changes if required in the operation planning.
Implement operational performance improvement: The management should try to apply
beneficial changes in their in their strategies for making the better improvement in their
different operations.
Collect relevant data: In the monitoring process of management need to collect the relevant
data which can be gathered by using regular monitoring or surveys. The organization can also
use the customer retention management (CSM) software for monitoring the organizational
operations. The cite operations could be used by organizations to collect the relevant data. The
cite operations could be done by the management, third party or the owner, consulting firms
etc. These parties can provide perspectives of outsiders about the operations.

Question 2
Monitoring the expected service provisions of your staff is an important part of a frontline
supervisor’s job. How often should this be done?
A supervisor can monitor the effectiveness and performance of their employees by using the
following steps:
Watching the work: The supervisors need to watch and evaluate the works of their
employees. They should try to measure the employee’s performances and then they can
provide them necessary feedbacks about their performances. These feedbacks could be
used by the employees in a positive way and they can enlarge their performances by using
them.
The self monitoring tools: The supervisors need to provide information about the self
monitoring tools to their employees. These tools are checklists, activity logs and project
plans. The employees can measure whether they are achieving their performance goals or
not. It will also provide them information if they are doing the work with the deadlines or
not. They can make regular notation in checklists and can report to the manager at regular
basis.
Ask around a little: The managers should try to ask about the employees services with their
vendors, consumers and other managers. The question which relates with the services of
employees can help the managers to evaluate the performance of their employees ( Szczepańska,
2015).

Once workflows have been established, what should you do to determine whether the
workflows you have implemented are in line with achieving organisational goals?
Deliverability: The managers can measure the effectiveness of their workflow by checking the
deliverability of their products and services. The deliverability of mails is also included into the
deliverability. The better deliverability of product and services can provide the idea about the
