For the students in the learning the approaches of the study skill, academic
skill, and strategies are applied. In the schooling it is critical for the
student’s success and acquires the good grading. The study skills are
helpful for the one's life learning. The study skills are the array which
handles the organising procedure and new information is taken, retained to
deal with the assessments. In the study skills it involves the effective
reading, notes taking efficiently by the students for their benefit in the
studies (Moradimokhles, H. and Hwang, G.J., 2020). The skills boost the
ability of the individual to work and study well by recalling, retaining
information which helps in assisting and exams are passed. The study skills
are a supporting network for the students which increases taught in the
schools and universities. In the short time the study skills are learned and it
is discrete technique which can be applied in any field of study. In the
report the discussion is made on the topic of skills that are helpful in group
work.
The concept of skills defines the learning ability so that actions can be performed with determined results
for accurate execution of the working within a given time, efforts, and energy. Various skills are
possessed by the individual comprising of specific and general skills such as time management,
leadership, motivation etc. the skill is defined as art which represents the body of knowledge and branch
learning. The skill of the individual is put in the practice of learning. With the changes in the workplace
and technology in the economy it is essential for very person to have the basic and advanced skills in the
form of hard and soft skill. Working in the group in any area it requires the team work skills which is
important for the success in organisation or in any field. The tasks are completed efficiently which
creates an enjoyable environment while working well with the colleagues, clients, managers and other
members (Murias, K and et.al., 2019). The teamwork skills denote to abilities and qualities that allows
the individual to perform well while having meetings, projects, conversations or any other king of
collaborations with others. The individual in the teamwork must have the capability to communicate
efficiently, active listening and honesty.
The group work defines the members in the form of the voluntary association that benefits from
cooperative learning and entire outcome of the activity is enhanced when completed individually. In the
group work the skills are developed in the aim to provide generic knowledges, social accepted attitudes
and behaviour and judgement standards are generated. The group work helps in completion of the work
in time as each member contributes in accordance to skills, experience and personality. To work
effectively in group, work the planning is required at first.

The skills required in group work are as follows
Communication- It is very effective skill while working in the group with the team members
regarding the new project or on presentation. The member is required to talk openly and with honesty
regarding the responsibilities, deadlines and expectations while working with group member. The
communication must be open to promote the trust and positive environment of team. To being
respectful in the communication the disagreements with other team member can be resolved quickly
(Nobre, F.S.S and et.al., 2020).
Time management- In the academic life the time management, accountability and responsibilities are
important equally for completing the task on time while working in group. It is a technique of
balancing and planning the time between different activities. With the help of this skill the given task
is completed on specified time frame and builds the reputation in the workplace. It also helps in
achieving desired results and time allocation is done properly.
Problem solving skill- while working in the group various issues and disputes arises which is very
essential for the individual to have the skill of problem-solving. The efficient problem solver thinks
efficiently with a suitable solution of the issue. The person remains calm and helps the teamwork to
have the team success by providing solution (Peddle, M and et.al., 2019).
Critical thinking- It defines to the thinking in certain ways so that a best solution can be arrived in
any circumstances. The person in the critical thinking skill is able to take better and informed
decisions. While working in the team work the best course of action is chosen by examining all
issues. It also requires the active listening to other group members.
Listening- In the group working the individual must have effective listening of ideas and concerns of
the members so that clarification, or solutions can be given. In the listening the member must have the
skill of eye contact, giving feedback, interpretation etc. the person should be open minded and to
recognise the member from other perspective (Samkin, G. and Keevy, M., 2019).
Importance of skills helpful in group work
The teamwork skills help in building the close working relationship and
new connections are formulated which builds rapports with others.
The working in the group brings new and fresh ideas regarding the
activities to have success in the competitive world.
The problems are solved in the teamwork which brings the collaboration
and various opinions ideas are exchanged in creative ways for dosing
certain activities.
The skill of time management is important in the teamwork as it helps in
meeting deadlines on time with high quality work as the work is divided
among the team members which also makes the operations of business
efficiently (Simpson, O., 2018).
In the teamwork the morale is enhanced as all group members possess the
skills which contributes value in the work to have effective results. A
strong sense of belonging and deep commitment is felt by the members.
