This study focuses on the skills needed for higher education, particularly effective communication. It identifies strengths and weaknesses in communication skills and provides recommendations for improvement.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Skills for higher education needed by students contributed to make them capable to
gained high scores. From this study, it has been determined that by considering effective
suggestions, learners have overcome major challenges and issues that they have faced due to
weaknesses in the context of communication.

INTRODUCTION
For purpose of getting higher education, a student need different types of skills, which
play vital role in growth and success of their academic and professional career. These
competencies are effective communication, decision making, team working, collaborative, etc.
that individual learners utilize to grow effectively and successfully. It can be said that
communication skill is the key performer in growth of students, who are taking higher education
within a great and well-known institute, for purpose of making their future brighter than ever. It
makes them people capable to build trustworthy relationship with others appropriately and
successfully. With competence enabled people to build strong relation with person’s whom they
want to do that. The current assignment will be based on communication skill. It will explain
weaknesses & strengths in my team’s communication competencies. Furthermore, the report will
justify valid suggestion based on issues that would be determined in finding section.
MAIN BODY
Identifying strengths & weakness in my group’s communication skills
Merits-
Communication is defined as process of interaction between group of people’s and
individual person, who tend to work with each other for commercial and personal reasons
(Kharouf and et.al., 2020). This procedure may provide several benefits to both parties, when
they communication in effective and systematic manner by using useful tools and sources. It may
also consider as action of transferring and sharing essential info between two or more people’s.
whether individuals are preparing a venture report, answering a question, or writing notes, they
have to communicate in some manner (Urdea and Constantin, 2021). In the world of business
and education sector, there are different types of communication methods has been utilized, for
which individuals may use specific source, which is quite beneficial and essential for them to do
so (How to Use the Internet to Communicate Better, 2019). Just like other people’s, I am capable
to communicate with others because I am posing better understanding and have capability of
active listening, which is one of my group communication competence strengths. I believe one
of my personal or professional strengths in current skill is that I am able to listen what other says
to me. I am a good listener and problem solver, that provide individual pleasure to work with me.

While performing in a group of individuals, I had conducted practice of listening others options
and suggestions as well. The current strength may fall under list of those essential aspects that in
return provide varied benefits to those who may utilize that appropriately. For purpose of
interacting with team members I have utilized specific form of method such as verbal
communication, which driven my performance toward obtaining desire outcomes.
It is the most common and effective form of interaction, which usually people utilize to
share important information and data with others. By communicating verbally, I enjoy having
conversation with all team members as we have gained chances to listen each other opinion
appropriately and clearly. Verbal interaction could either happen face to face or via other sources
such as smart phones, video conferencing, etc. by using these it is important for information
sender to interact effectively.
I am talkative and that is another strength of my team communication skill, that enhanced
my and others performance. I take pleasure talking with others, which is beneficial for all. In
interaction, my strength might be that I have capability to listen, talk and respond on time, that is
no easy for anyone to do so. Active listening skill had enabled me to make proper conversation
with individuals of different nations, cultures and norms, because it provides me an opportunity
to understand more about their living standard and lifestyle. I work at my weakness by having
key strength to attempt to make presentation memorable and presentable so that the
concentration would not be too much on speaker but the data be presented to teams.
Weaknesses-
Weakness among individual person put a lot of pressure on them about performing better
than others. Unlike other, my weakness in group communication is nervousness as feel nervous
when I have to speak in front of my team mates and wide group of individuals. This weakness
hindered my performance, and made me unable to obtain desire outcome, for which I have
developed plan and strategic tactics. I become nervous as I think that everyone concentrated on
my instead of what information I will provide and present in front of everyone. When a person is
nervous, they never grow and work in appropriate manner as individual tend to perform with full
of confidence which in return boost their morale. I want to overcome my weakness because it
leads to decrease my performance and efforts to share important information among group of
people, who tend to work in productive manner and desire to reach expect outcome. Along with

current one, I also have another weakness in my group communication competence and that is
my body language, which sometimes will give a different answer more than what I would have
to spoke and share with all. When I am utilizing a communication form such as non-verbal as a
point of interaction I have point out to something from just hearing to the topic that being
discussed and also discussing in the future. My body language is not presenting a better
interaction than intended. With specific type of communication such as non-verbal I effort to
give more eye contact while performing with others so that there is not miscomprehending of
conversation happen. While facing above two issues, I have found out that no one head supports
in this form of interaction, because they can say many things. In my group communication
competencies, I have developed understanding that when I highlight my strengths the
weaknesses might not be resolved.
My weaknesses affect performance of others, which I would reduce as it requires
strategic decision and strategy that provide benefit to whom who are working with and whom I
work with. In order to overcome my weaknesses, I always try to interact to other people that help
in varied terms. For example, in some cases group communication become the best approach of
solving key issues that an individual person deals with. It is fact that when individuals are
interacting with many they would be capable to decide when non-verbal or verbal type of
communication would be suitable according to logic of particular situation as well as
surrounding atmosphere. My weaknesses become obstacle in the context of my growth and
expected success.
Models of communication-
In the business world, there are several forms of methods, techniques and frameworks
available that utilized appropriately and systematically, in the context of communication. For
example, conventional communication concept is the best example of strategic framework,
which encompasses key stages that define clearly about process of sending and obtaining
important message to communicate with others (Bai, Ren and Kolumbán, 2020). It specific that
sender always effort to be match their body language with current practice.

CONCLUSION
On the basis of above discussion, it has been concluded that effective communication
plays vital role in success of students, especially those who are studying higher education. It has
been determined that by using effective communication sources and following trends, learners
has obtained a lot of advantages, which pleasure they take for longer time. By following
suggestions and other types of effective communication tools as well as techniques, they have
interacted with others in a group in effective manner. In the world, individuals utilize varied
types of communication process, which in return provide them key edges. In order to overcome
the weaknesses, it is important to follow strategic directions and recommendations as well as
take effective methods into their considerations. It is important to perform in group with good
communication skills and usage of each appropriately. It is possible when effective tools and
approaches will be utilized systematically.
RECOMMENDATIONS
It is quite important for individual person to overcome communication problems, which
may put negative impact on their career progress and daily task completion.
 For example, they effort to listen what others are saying, which give them better
understanding about a concept or topic. By doing so I can take pleasure of developing
and getting knowledge that I utilize in the future, to gain key advantages. Without
understanding what tutor said, learners cannot be able to obtain high scores, which is
important for them to do so. The main reason behind above things is noise and
distraction, which may lead to create issue to communicate.
 Furthermore, they can take initiative to balance their body languages as well that enable
them to influence people and allow others to focus on what information effort to provide
and who said to whom.
 Internet is the best approach that I can utilize to solve communication issue such as poor
body language, etc. with the help of this element they can overcome certain problems
regarding communication. By using internet, I can deal with any issue, as it makes me
capable to deliver message in effective manner.

 Instead of relying on delivering message by taking support from others, I tend to utilize
own message by using effective tools and channels, which give me power do not allow
other to filter information.
 I want to overcome my another weakness that is nervousness by conducting varied
practices and taking feedback from experience holders who are playing major role in
group work as a speaker and instruction provider. I can utilize internet to watch videos
through which many people share their experience about overcomes weakness that I
have.
