INTRODUCTION
Skill evaluation can be a necessary aspect of the life of a person as it can provide the
effectiveness and excellencies that can lead to the better performance on the day to day
operations and the everyday work of a person. This is necessary to develop and evaluate the
skills so that the performance can be evaluated and the results and achievement can be positive.
The evaluation of skills can provide the effectiveness and efficiency in managing the everyday
tasks. This can be beneficial for the people who are looking to develop and evaluate their skills
(Darling-Hammond and et.al., 2020).
This report will explain about the learnings that is related to the social work which has
been developed after watching the video. Furthermore, this report will provide the brief
information about the values and skills that is required for practice. The aim of the report is to
analyse and understand the various aspects of the skill evaluation and development.

Essential elements of knowledge
The knowledge about the project or the task that is being performed or will be performed
is required to be effective so that it can provide the effectiveness in the performance so that the
tasks or the projects can be done effectively. The knowledge can be gained with the help of
proper analysis and understanding the situation effectively (Pradana and et.al., 2020). The
analysis of the video can be given that it is very helpful in having the effective performance after
understanding and collecting the necessary information that is required to perform any tasks
effectively. There are various elements of the knowledge that can be understood after looking at
the video.
Consent
The first and the main element of the information that can be understood after looking at
the video is that there should be consent of both the parties so that they can share the knowledge
effectively. This is necessary because after looking at the video it can be analysed that the social
work can be done effectively only if the person that is going to be helped is in need of help or not
(Azizan and et.al., 2018). This is necessary to understand that it is one of the major parts of
knowledge that there should be consent of the learner that he will be performing the activity that
will be helpful for him in learning and developing new skills.

Process
The next essential element of the knowledge is that there should be proper understanding
of the process that is going to be taken in use or has been used in performing any activity. This is
necessary to understand that there are various aspects of knowledge that is necessary to retain
which can provide the effectiveness in the work (Newell, 2020). The video explained that the
social working process of protecting the child is one of the key elements that is necessary to be
understood so that the proper knowledge and techniques of having effective knowledge and
developing skills can be implemented in the day to day operations for better learning and
understanding.
Retention
The next essential element of the knowledge is the ability of retaining it. It is necessary
for the learner that if they are willing to develop the various skills that can provide the efficiency
in the day to day operations and the tasks that has been performed in the aspect of social work
they are required to have the effective capabilities of retaining the knowledge (Banks, 2020).
This is necessary as if the knowledge is not retained than it can be ineffective and can not be

Implementation
One of the essential elements of the knowledge is the implementation. It is necessary to
implement the knowledge that has been collected so that it can result into the effective
performance and provide the better efficiency in performing the day to day tasks that can be
associated with the knowledge (Barsky, 2019). This can be a necessary step that can result into
having the effective and positive result on the social work and the other day to day operations
that is being performed on a daily basis.
Values and skills for practice
The practice of the successful social worker activities can be done if there is the
availability of the various skills and abilities that is required to be found in a good social worker.
This can help in having the effectiveness and excellencies in the day to day operations that
requires the better skills and proper implementation that provides the ability to give importance
to the values (Sonnenberg, 2021). This method can help in having the positive results in the day

to day performance of the social worker and will be able to provide the effectiveness in the work.
The skills and values when implemented in practice are able to provide the learner to have the
effectiveness in developing the better and improved performance and better retention of the
knowledge.
Skills that is required in practice
There are various types of skills that is required to be founded in the learner so that he
can achieve the effectiveness in the day to day operations and have the better efficiency in
learning.
Critical thinking
The first skill that is required to be implemented in the practice is that the learner is
required to be having the ability that allows them think critically. This will be able to provide the
effectiveness in decision-making as it can provide the ability of analysing the various factor and
aspects of the situation that can affect the process of learning.
Creative thinking
The learner having the ability of critical thinking is also required to have the ability of
thinking creatively. This can provide them with the effectiveness in finding the solution to the
problem that can occur in the process of decision-making which is necessary to be resolved
(Arieli, Sagiv and Roccas, 2020). The video can help in understanding that the social workers
were required to have the creativity in their thinking abilities so that they can provide the child
with better and effective help.
Values that are required in practice
There are various types of values that are required to be kept in mind and followed so that
the learner can develop the maximum skills that can provide the efficiency in better performance
and effective learning.
Gratitude
The first and the most necessary value that the learner is required to be following is that
there should be implementation of gratitude so that they can give importance to the knowledge
and skills that they currently have and will be developing in the future. This can provide the
discipline and effectiveness in learning so that the learner can have the positive attitude towards
the knowledge that is being provided to them.

Co-operation
The learners are required to be co-operating with each other so that they can have the
effectiveness in developing the knowledge and sharing it so that the co-learners does not face
any problem or issues in developing the skills (Canda, Furman and Canda, 2019). This can be
understood from the video that the team of social workers if works with proper co-operation and
have the effective co-ordination can provide the better and improved performance that is
required to be achieved for having the better results of the tasks or the projects that has been
performed or going to be performed.
Respect
The next value that the learners are required to implement in the day to day life is to give
respect to the colleagues and the people that are working with them. It is necessary to understand
that respecting the colleagues or the other parties can provide the efficiency in performing the
activities of social work more effectively.
Exploration of the intervention
The exploration of the intervention from the perspective of a service user can be done
that in the video it has been seen that there is a group of social workers that have misused a
family that was in need of help as they were going through the problem after the crisis. It can be
seen in the exploration of the intervention that there was lack of proper disciplines and values
that has not been followed by the social workers which has resulted into the undesired situation
that the family was left to handle (Bigby and Frawley, 2018). This is necessary to understand that
the various aspects and the factors that can be analysed after looking at the video are that the
family was not able to provide the child with effective and better facilities that was necessary in
his childhood. This is understood that the child was in need of better treatment and proper
availability of all the resources that can be necessary for him to have the effectiveness in his
early childhood stages.
The exploration can be done that there should be the proper availability of the necessary
treatment and the resources that can help the child in his early childhood stages. It has been
analysed after looking at the video that the environment in which the child is living plays an
important role which can be seen from the perspective of service user as there should be proper
availability of better and healthy environment that does not create a negative impact on the mind

of the child. The intervention can be analysed as there should be proper availability and good
behaviour from the side of social workers so that the service user is not required to face any
problem that can lead to the situations that are not desired from anyone (Barsky, 2019). This can
be analysed that the availability of the proper resources and the necessary things that can be
helpful in resolving the problems that can create the undesired situations. This can be helpful in
understanding that there can be the various types negative aspects of the activity or the project
that looks good and beneficial in the starting.
This can be understood after looking at the video that the implementation and the use of
ethics and good values is an essential part of any activities that can affect the lives of many
people. This is necessary to understand that the values and skills can be helpful in having the
effective performance and better results. This can provide the effectiveness in the various
operations and the tasks that has been performed by the individuals on the day to day basis
(Bogo, 2018). The values and ethics when followed can provide the efficiency in having the
abilities of effective working and it can be helpful in having the effectiveness in the performance

The can be helpful in understanding that the implementation of the values and ethics is
