SKIN AGEING EDUCATIONAL TOOL 2
Skin ageing is a contemporary issue that is largely affecting women and characterized by
appearance of wrinkles and scars. It is also part and parcel of the natural ageing process and a
significant number of women are willing to spend on treatment or delaying the process. This
topic was chosen because it is a real issue going on throughout the treatment industry and among
the women who are potentially older. The potential older women are the target group for this tool
and that is why it is specifically directed to them being that skin ageing is condition that is vastly
experienced among women. There is no a single woman who would want to grow old
prematurely; everyone wants to look younger There is therefore certain treatment mechanism
that are addressed in this tool that can be used to supply the information richly for any women in
need.
Even though skin ageing is part of the natural ageing process, it is not supposed to come
that early for women. Skin ageing could possibly cause uncomfort, much pressure and
relentlessness among the women. For that reason, the two treatment plans that could best suit the
condition are: micro needling and fractional radio frequency. According to Ibrahim, Munavalli &
Dover (2018), micro needling is the treatment that uses a bunch of needles to perform a
puncturing of the very first layer of the skin. The process of the skin treatment works out best to
rejuvenate the skin of an individuals by boosting production of collagen, which in turn reduces
wrinkles, fine lines appearance and overall skin texture. On the other hand, Wen, Li, and
Hamblin (2019) observes that fractional radio frequency is a therapy that usually activates the
fibroblasts that produces the new collagen from within through natural process of callogenesis.
Additionally, fractional radio frequency, as a new technology has a dual combination of dermal
stamping and radiofrequency. Radiofrequency applies energy to heat up the tissues of the skin

which emotionally stimulates remodeling of the tissues and thus enhancing the production of
new collagen and elastin.
Min, Park, Yoon and Suh (2015) goes ahead to support the fact that micro needling has a
way of using multiple sterile tiny needles in facilitating puncturing of the skin which largely
creates slight injury to the skin. Lucky enough, the skin readily responds by making tissues. Li et
al. (2017) notes that it would however be a problem for those women who have issues with skin
wound healing for example those whose blood clotting process is interfered with. An interfered
with blood clotting process makes one take too long to heal the wound. It is also important to
note that the techniques have their basis of the increasing collagen secretion by causing some
trauma in the skin tissues. This is the reason why Tobin (2017) claim that the principle behind
the treatment plan is collagen production. Production of collagen ensures that there is an
improvement in the skin elasticity. When there is an improvement in the elasticity of the skin, the
wrinkles, the fine lines and all other features associated with the ageing skin are eliminated. Skin
elasticity is all an individual need to ensure that there are in the perfect mode of performance.
Fractional radio frequency tends to be mainly conducted to the skin that are tightened
(Farage, Miller & Maibach, 2017). I believe that there are sometimes when the skin may age
because of lack of intactness and thus causing the skin to tighten. Farage, Miller and Maibach
(2017) also observes that the method employs radio frequency and dermal stamping. The heat in
the skin is facilitated through radio frequencing. This in turn breaks down the ageing-like fiber
and collagen stimulating cell regeneration for the skin that is to be heathier. Kim and Kim (2019)
note that Australia has the most women preferring fractional radio frequency over micro
needling. It is a therapy that is worth counting on. Globally, Ibrahim et al. (2018) argues that the
method has received positive response because it is more current and involves little in achieving
