Design History
This report is on the skywar game which is to be developed in java programming
language. The skywar game is a game which comprises of the first shooter which attacks
an enemy in the sky which includes all asteroids and another objects like the moon. The
shooter will be releasing bullets which will be targeting and destroying the sky object and
therefore the name skywar game. When the shooter will be attacked by the sky objects,
the shooter is killed and the game is halted at that point. The skywar game will be
developed in java with the 2D technology.
Version 1.10
Version 1.10 includes some tuning and tweaking that I did after making my initial pass at
the design. Here is what I changed.
1. I rewrote the section about what systems the game runs on.
2. I incorporated feedback from the team into all parts of the design however no
major changes were made.
3. In included the small stars in the sky
4. I changed the color of the sky from white to black to depict the dark night.
Version 2.00
Version 2.00 is the first version of the design where a major revision has been
made now that much more is known about the game. After many hours of design, many
decisions have been made. Most of these large design decisions are now reflected in this
document.
Included in the changes are:
1. Pairing down of the design scope. (Scope, not design)

Game Overview
Philosophy
Philosophical point #1
This game is trying to show how the shooter is able to destroy the sky objects.
Fundamentally I am trying to achieve something that has never been achieved before.
Or. This game will not try and change the world. We are ripping off the competition so
exactly that I can’t believe it. The world will be shocked at how we are using an existing
engine with new art for the purpose of designing the game.
Philosophical point #2
Our game only runs on computers and not any other digital gadget like the mobile
phones and any other gadget. The reason for this is because the game is designed with
java desktop programming language which only can be executed in desktop computers
and laptops. We believe the world is coming to an end anyhow so what difference does it
make?
Philosophical point #3
When you create some of these overarching philosophical points about your
design, say whatever you want. Also, feel free to change it to “My game design goals” or
whatever you like to call it.
Common Questions

and the sky objects called the asteroids where the shooter targets to destroy the asteroids
in the sky.
Why create this game?
I chose to create the game since it develops the minds of corps enthusiast and also
encourages the player to create positive thinking that in the world, an enemy is not
supposed to be given a chance to destroy your life. I really love 3D shooter but
meanwhile I decided to work on the 2D shooter as will be upgrading to 3D in the future
development.
Where does the game take place?
The game is taking place in the sky environment since the sky is what contains
the asteroids. The asteroid is the enemy which is contained in the sky and the shooter is
below the sky to shoot and destroy the enemy.
What do I control?
The player of the game will be controlling the shooter, how to shoot, the bullet
and the direction the shooter has to navigate in order to destroy the asteroids.
How many characters do I control?
The player is only entitled to control the shooter only. The asteroids are
controlled by the system. The player has to control the way the shooter releases the
bullet, the way the shooter moves , the way the shooter escapes the coming enemies
which has approached beyond destruction.

What is the main focus?
The main aim of the game is to make sure that all asteroids have been destroyed
completely since without their destruction, then the shooter will be destroyed in return.
What’s different?
The main factor which makes my game to be unique is the composition of the
game. My game is having 10 levels whereby the level is adjusted with its respective
complexity. This is not being done in the games which are being attempted in the world
today.
