INTRODUCTIONSmall and medium sized enterprises are those businesses whose having personal numbersfall up to the certain limits. It is made up of enterprises which employ fewer than 250 personsand which have a annual turnover not exceeding 50 million euro. Along with this it also having abalance sheet total not exceeding 43 million euro. Small scale enterprises are those businessesthat employ small number of workers and do not have high volume of sales. Such enterprises areprivately owned and operated on the sole proprietorship and partnership. Small and mediumsized businesses are those which is made up of enterprises which includes fewer employees andalso having a less turnover ratio (Forsman, 2011). The regulatory bodies have to makeappropriate planning which help in increasing the number of the small business enterprises.Along with this, they have to provide them an opportunity to increase scope of businessthroughout the world. Group of companies who are having small businesses provide theopportunity to different people and for that, they have to show their capabilities to get the jobwhich helps them to satisfy the requirements of people. The present report is based on PaulCockle- The Generating Company is the touring circus company which produce the large showsand the events around the world. The generating company successfully appeared on Dragons'Den (Autumn Statement, 2015). This assignment has focused upon investigating the performanceof selected small business enterprise. Along with this, changes to improve the management andthe business performance which will be discussed in it.TASK 11.1 Profile of your selected businessPaul Cockle- The Generating Company having the contemporary circus productionbusiness was determined to compete with the industry. The company have a secured clients such
as BBC and Audi. The format or structure of this series is very simple and entrepreneurs pitchthe dragons with the business plan. They are looking for the investment in return for the equityshare in the business. It assist in securing the investment from the panel of the venture capitalists.The programme originated in Japan as Money Tigers or Tigers of Money. The format of thisPaul Cockle- The Generating Company against the questions which is being asked for thefinancial side of the business and helps in managing to secure the investment. Local version ofthe shows have been produced in the different countries. The most popular name for the show isDragon's Den and a name that originated in United Kingdom. The company have to adopt thedifferent and appropriate strategy which helps in expanding the business as well as growth (Gilland Biger, 2012). To capture the opportunity as a marketing exercise which assist in effect thepitching the product and services to the British public at large. The company members have to dothe proper activities to appear on the show which will help in maximising the return are that theyensure the website up-to-date which will help in increasing the profile from TV. It is important touse the new found fame which assist in engaging more suitable investors who can provide smartmoney or more attractive terms. Paul stood strong against the questions which are asked aboutthe financial side of the business and helps in managing to secure the investment. The generatingcompany have secured clients which are BBC and Audi. Paul insistence that his business couldattain the success at the time of high competition in the industry. It must be a registeredcompany. Turnover must not exceed £6.5 million. Balance Sheet total no more than £3.26million. Not employed more than 50 people. Should have been in operation and have filedaccounts with Companies House for at least 2 years.Strength of Paul Cockle- The Generating Company having the strong position in themarket which provide the proper services to the other organisation or to the consumers.
