Introduction
This article focuses on the implementation of cybersecurity strategies in commercial
airports. The author has tried to reflect various cybersecurity issues in airport. These cyber
threats have been affecting operational efficiency of airports. This article intends to previous
work done by researchers in aviation industry. Malicious cyber threats have been identified that
are influencing operational efficiency of smart airports. Authors have tried to integrate Internet
of Things in airports to mitigate these cyber security challenges in aviation industry. The
contribution of this article include an analysis of measures and strategies implemented in airports
and a detailed identification of malicious activities in airports. The author states that cyber
security has been a key concept in the aviation industry (Lykou, Anagnostopoulou & Gritzalis,
2019). Smart airport has been striving towards providing proper services in sustainable manner.
It has been working towards benefits and enhancing operational efficiency of airports. The
authors have able to address aspects in cyber security threats in airport. The author states that
Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (CANSO) has helped for enhancing security level to
Air Traffic Management (ATM) by reflecting online attacks.
Research Design
This significant of this research has been focused on the descriptive research design for
identifying the online security threats in airports and aviation industry. This research design will
