Smart technology in the workplace is used for transforming of the power of company
through the use of technologies (Brooks, 2012). Now days workforce is becoming progressively
high tech in concerns with the reliant and increasingly mobile in terms of infrastructure as well
as having to adapt some changes in the workplace practices. For a true test of any smart work
area there should be a balance in productivity and susceptibility. This report consist of evaluation
of various uses of technology which may include mobile devices that would help the workplace
to improve its efficiency. There is description of all the possible uses of latest technologies and
also to manage knowledge and learning techniques some information resources are required is
explained in this report. With the use of all these technologies and various latest methodology for
working it is obvious that company would progress and improve its efficiency.
PART 1
1. Comparison of Gmail and Yahoo mail provider.
Gmail: It is a free email services which includes advertisement-supported email service
which was formed by Google. They have users which are allowed to access Gmail on web and
even through their mobile apps for Android and iOS (Caldwell, Zeltmann and Griffin, 2012).
There would be third party program that would synchronize this email with its content through
POP or IMAP protocols. This site was released on 2004 approximately and has ended its testing
phase on 2009. Gmail has an internal storage capacity of 1gb per user id. This is still considered
as very high as compared to other competitors which are offering. User can receive mails up-to
50 megabyte which includes attachments, audio, file which could exceed up to 25 megabyte
only. If the user wants to send larger file then person needs to insert the file into Google drive
and then that can be shared.
Yahoo mail: This is also a web based email service which is launched in 1997. It has
provided four different email plans for personal uses. Three of them can be used for personal
uses and one of them for business purposes. This yahoo mail has developed 281 million users
which is becoming the largest web based email service in the world. There would be three
interfaces which are available at appropriate time. Yahoo interface use drag and drop method as
well as improved search methods also keyboards shortcuts are accepted in this process. There
has been more than 1 billion users whose account was hacked in breach of which has occurred

back in 2013. but later yahoo tried to build 500 million user accounts approximately which have
been breached in 2014. Thus this seems that company must have discovered about the breach
which is affecting hundreds of accounts before their initial announcement (Chelmis, Srivastava
and Prasanna, 2014).
Comparison between yahoo and gmail: Y mail is a product of Yahoo and gmail is a
product of google. There can be so many differences between the two which are contrasted here.
In gmail there is provision of carrying out chat facility which the use can avail in case
they want to do informal or formal long based talking but this facility is absent in the y
mail. Yahoo messenger or g talk is not a part of y mail chat system cause they are not
mail systems.
Gmail provides new voice as well as video chat amenities which are absent in yahoo.
Also some new features like send SMS via mail concept which has been involved by
Google engineers which are highlighting this email provider to a large extent.
There is also one new and great feature which google has provided for gmail and yahoo
doesn't have that is it gives 50 credits to all user so in case there is any emergency for
talking to that person who has left the chat then writing phone number in the mentioned
text box they can send him the message and the person would know.
Gmail is basically considered as very secures in comparison to y mail because there is
mostly session expired when dealing with y mail message sending or payment sessions.
That is why it is much safe to use gmail other than any other email provider.
Yahoo is not free from ads and so its customers are very much disturbed with
unnecessary advertisements which arise every now and then as yahoo is opened but gmail
is free from all this.
Y mail is providing option of providing number of tabs while gmail has recently
incorporates this feature recently, earlier they were deprived of it.

devices which is designed, made and marketed in the field with the name of Samsung Electronics

operating system which is produced by google that are most popularly used by users having an
attractive and most common interface now days which is Touch Wix/ Samsung model. But this
tradition was broken at CES 2016 with the announcement of first Galaxy-branded Windows 10
products.

was developed and made by the apple corporation and it is actually run according to the iOS
mobile operating system. The very first iPad was released in 2010 and the most recent one is

improvement in this device it tends to make some interface which is built around the device's

Comparison of Samsung Mobile and Apple Tablet. Samsung has introduced in Galaxy
phone in the beginning of march while at the same time Apple has announced its latest and
cheapest iPad towards the end of march thus bringing two so important technologies at the
month of march and boom the industry of technological market (Mather and Cummings, 2014).
Mobile of S3 is seem to be an entertainment powerhouse where as iPad would have couple cuts
of the corners in order to bring its price down.
In apple tablet and the Samsung mobile phone has one common feature which is that they
both are solid in texture and premium in design.
iPads are all of aluminium and Samsung mobile are of glass and metal texture.
One more comparison is that Galaxy mobile are very slim and lighter in weight where as
tablets of apple are still little broad and heavy.
Both of them have solid build and round corners with curved edges. This is the features
which makes the design look very attractive and convince the user to buy them.
One more similarity is that they both have fingerprint sensor which can be used for
security purpose and be used for home buttons for displays and even have some

centralized front camera at the top of the display for taking attractive pictures of the
person who is using it.
A tablet consist of more memory then a mobile because it is made for high storage
capacity. It may compromise on other aspects but for storage matter it is much more than
a mobile system.
As coming to the companies which is mentioned for tablet and mobile there is vast
difference in terms of quality as well as security. Apple company provides products of
very high quality and services which are very difficult to breach while Samsung provide
many features but it may not be not secures in compared to apple. That is the reason
apple products are very costly and mostly owned by renounce business man or high class
people where as Samsung is a company which is used by maximum individual because it
is of affordable prize.
PART 2
