Mary Teresa popularly known as
Mother Teresa belonged to an Indian-
Albanian family was a Roman Catholic
nun who completely dedicated her
life in helping the impoverished and
deprived people (Walters, 2016).
She spent most of life in Calcutta
India where she founded Missionaries
of Charity.

SOCIAL CLASS AND CONFORMITY

Role depicts the traits of person which
are present in them
For instance- Mother Teresa was an
honesty, peace-loving, helping and
culturally unbiased in nature(Nyborg,
2016).
Norms highlight social expectations.
These are the policies and rules which
should be kept in concern while dealing
with social issues(Young, 2015).
ROLE AND NORMS

Deviance refers to the acts which are
performed against the social rules. This
does not mean that all the deviant acts
are negative. If after performing the acts
the result is positive it is the is no more
considered deviant (Young, 2015).
The subculture refers to thought and
ideas of people living in society.
Every individual has diff erent
perspective.

As she helped the deprived without seeking
benefi ts people should also serve the
community
Even after not belonging to the nation she
helped the poor and needy going beyond the
cultural respects
The concepts of social class, role, norms,
conformity, deviance and subculture have left
a positive impact over society.
