SOCIAL CAMPAIGN TO TACKLE POVERTY
Poverty is a worldwide issue that the society has to deal with. The images that appear
from this social issue is heart wrenching. However, it goes unidentified or minute action is
taken towards it. There are many other challenges that arise as a result from poverty. From
malnutrition to low literacy rate, from unemployment to poor living condition the outcome of
poverty are numerous (Claro, Paunesku & Dweck, 2016). The severity of the issue is high
and as a result of which the activity required to be taken must be hard-hitting. Although,
initiative is taken towards the rising concerns, the root of the main cause that is poverty is not
given much thought. The subsequent social campaign is planned to deal with this highlighting
challenge.
Goals and objectives of the campaign
In order to tackle with this global issue it is significant to set clear goals. It is then the
specific strategies could be adopted to fulfil the goals.
Identifying the alarming poverty-stricken area.
Raising awareness among the population regarding the issue.
Improvement in the alarming effects of poverty such as illiteracy, unemployment,
gender discrimination and so on.
Implementation of the campaign
The first goal of the campaign is to identify the highlighting areas of poverty. In order
to do so a thorough research and survey should be carried out. The official website of
Australian Council of Social Service delivers a figure, which shows the growth in poverty in
Australia. It states that despite of 20 years growth in economy there are still three million of
the population suffering in poverty out of which 731,000 are children (Acoss.org.au, 2018).
Children are considered the future asset of a nation and this alarming figures show that how
