INTRODUCTION
Social interaction is the communication between 2 or more persons exchanging their thoughts,
and ideas. Interaction taking place between individuals can be regular, or accidental in nature. It
is process which is never ending in nature (M.Libraries, 2018). In this report some questions
have been answered on the basis of observing the theories and concepts after selecting 3 places
namely library, church and supermarket.
1. Social Rituals
Social ritual defines the actions and beliefs that are followed or accepted at a place (Watson-
Jones, and Legare, 2016).
Library: Library or the world of books and knowledge is a place which demands silence.
People visiting libraries are instructed make no noise as it distracts other people and
hence the level of interaction between 2 or more individuals are less but more with the
books.
Church: A place where people interact with the motive to connect with god and peace.
People interact with one another for a social belief.
Supermarket: A place where we have the highest level of interactions found. It has the
most informal way of interaction where nobody is bound any limits of sharing thoughts
and ideas.
2. Different Social Roles
Library: The social role that library play is expanding and enhancing the outreach
of an individual. A person sitting at one place can gain knowledge about different
aspects and topics from throughout the world.
Church: The place where individuals meets to gain inner peace. Every Sunday
people go together to the church for prayers this helps in maintaining a regular
contact between people.

commodities is the basic work of the supermarkets but to communicate the idea
interactions and exchange of thoughts takes place. Means of entertainments are
also available here.

3. Examples of Social Interactions
Conflicts: Any clash between 2 or more because of their different perspectives results in
conflicts. It is also an interaction but in a negative form, and the motive of such
interactions are always is the defeat of another.
Get-togethers: This can be both informal and formal form of interaction based on the
basic reason behind conduction of such get-togethers. It can be a family meeting as well
as an office get together.
Exchange of perspectives: Behind every interaction taking place whether formal or
informal this is the basic motive of them. When two or more individuals meet they
exchange their thoughts like college lectures.
4. Examples of reflection and social control
Social control means to behave in a lawful manner towards the society without hindering
believes values and norms in code of conduct (Thompson, Hickey, and Thompson, 2016).
In library it is expected to maintain silence and the rules of issuing of books needs to be
followed.
In church when elders will follow the correct rules, values and norms, the same will the
younger one learn and get influenced with.
In supermarkets one should follow the instruction while purchasing any commodity
which is mentioned. Entering in conflicts due to errors or omissions of step should be
avoided and everyone to play their role with honesty.
Conclusion
Interaction is a never ending process. Every step of daily life involves interactions (Giddens,
Duneier, Appelbaum, and Carr, 2016). While communicating with anyone, one must keep in
mind that they are influential to others through their actions. Society consists of various humans
including children, females, and senior citizens as well, every individual is responsible for a
healthier environment by following their role with the outmost honesty irrespective of the place
they visit.
