Social issues can be termed as the problems that impacts profoundly on the majority
of the society. It is seen as a common problem that is seen to be affecting the society as a
whole. The social issues are seen as the consequences of certain factors that extend from the
control of an individual being, creating potential conflicting situations within the social
setting. There are often seen to be confusions regarding relations between social issues and
economic issues. The social researchers are of the opinion that the economic issues are not
social issues. The economic issues are seen as the issues related to the economic situation and
consequences, on the other hand the social issues are the ones that affect the society in
general (Sobel, 2013). However there are certain economic issues that can impact upon the
society as a whole, and these economic issues are regarded as the economic social issues, but
not all the economic issues governing within the country are social issues.
Australia is now faced with many social issues, regarding the social situation,
regarding the situation of unemployment, and many other social situations. The people are
also faced homelessness and depression. However, in the following essay the problems and
difficulties faced by the community based people will be discussed. The community based
people have often seen to be suffering from the issues related to the human rights.
Australia is a country that is faced with a number of issues related to the communities
of the country. The country has a diversified population, with a majority number of
aboriginals, who are often faced with discrimination and problems with social inclusion. The
aboriginals of the country are faced with issues related to human rights, and the related
effective policies and practices (Chapman et al., 2005). The researchers are of the opinion
that the Australia is to comply with international responsibilities. The human rights approach
states that there are certain common principles which are identified as ‘PANEL’ and the
social issues that are faced by the people are, Participation, Accountability, Non-
discrimination and equality, Empowerment and Legality. Participation refers to the principles
