Based on the results of answers given in the survey, I seem to possess
equivalent social integration and emotional connection scores.
According to me the scores are more or less correct since I have always liked
to integrate with others socially as also show emotional connections to specific topics
of interest

3. What social media platforms do you use?
Answer: The different social media platforms I mostly use are Facebook, Youtube,
Whatsapp and Discord.
4. For what purpose do you use each platform? If you don’t use any, why?
Answer:
Facebook: I use facebook for Communicating with friends, arranging meet ups, reading
their content, observing interests and behaviour, trolls and memes.
Youtube: I rely on Youtube for watching informative and entertaining videos as also in
partaking discussions and commenting.
Whatsapp: Communicating with friends, arranging meet ups, trolling and sharing memes
are the main reasons I use Whatsapp
Discord: Discord is extremely beneficial for me in finding voice enabled chat rooms
with like-minded people and fellow gamers.

5. How would you characterize the quality and content of your social media use?
To answer this question, you may want to try referring to some of your
posts/shares/etc.
Answer: Social media has a lot to offer as vast amounts of information can be gained
by reading the posts shared by the groups, pages and channels that I follow. This way
valuable information is obtained on topics of interest.
6. What kind of things do you share?
Answer: The social media contents that I generally share are reviews, articles, videos,
blog posts and memes on current affairs, sports, movies, computer hardware, gaming and
crypto-zoology.
7. How often and with whom?
Answer: Contents are shared by me every week if not daily. I share generic Facebook
posts for everyone to see (Skoric et al. 2016). My private conversations take place mostly in
Instant Messenger. In Whatsapp, I mostly share memes in groups, only my bilateral
conversations happen privately with the concerned friend or family member.
8. Why do you feel you need to share certain information?
Answer: There reasons why I feel the need for sharing the contents can be several and
they vary depending upon the content. Some of my contents may be regarding making people
aware on issues relating to the society as well as technology through articles and blogs. Other
reasons can be simply having fun with likeminded friends with memes. Other reasons may
simply be informative, occasionally wishing people or even bragging about success of my
favourite football club.

3. How does your social media use relate to how you view yourself?
Answer: My profiles in the social medias, I use mainly speaks about my inquisitive and
humorous traits. However, my attachments towards sporting events, games, technology also
get brought forward.
4. What aspects do you think have contributed to your identity and sense of self,
and why?
Answer: Though my intention is always to make the most of every moment by staying
unaffected by external issues, my active interest in technology owing to involvement in
games, interest in all footballing matters so as to identify solutions for the concerns of my
favourite club as also ideological interests is what defines myself.

5. What changes do you want to make (or have you made) to your social media
use? Why?
Answer: It has been quite some time since new features like stories got incorporated in
social media networks like facebook, instagram and whatsapp (Amâncio 2017). I have not
used this feature till this day and hence an urge is building to make use of the stories sooner
than later.

7. Have you results changed at all since the beginning of term?
Answer: My results did not change at all.
8. Do you feel that you answered differently this time as a result of what you have
learned in this course, why or why not?
Answer: Although I tried my best to answer the survey questions differently, the results
were the same. I think this is mostly because the survey and scores did not affect how I
use social media or may be because I believe I am using social media the way I should
have in the first place.
9. Do you think you have changed as an individual as a result of taking this course?
Answer: I were not able to draw any such observations from answering the survey and
its follow up questions.
