Introduction
The most common medium of communication which has taken technonological
advancement to next level is social media. It mainly consist of various institution such as media,
print, radio and entertainment business which has attracted interest of people all around the world on
various platform like content creating business as Youtube, writing articles and creating own blogs,
connecting with people on Instagram, Facebook also information and data can be seen on Google on
websites like Wikipedia which are most common under it. These are sources of social media which
impact human behaviour, conduct and society representation in general(Hamin and Rosli,2018).
This consist of both positive and negative effect on masses. It moved attention of people on
technological aspect where it has no limitation with respect to creativity of individual it can explore
various facets expressing their views, opinions, ideas, further innovating just by siiting at home.
This has majorly encouraged population in relation to their confidence, self esteem and rebuilding
their reputation in various communities giving them way to reach out to the world at large. It helps
mainly to people who are faceless and has no identity by giving them voice to stand up for their
rights against any form of discrimination or suppression existing in society. It has given national and
international representation conducting their art and skills showing their talent. With benefit and
advantage to people certain disadvantages are also attached which impacts individual nature and
manner. As it is said with some positive outcome negative aspects are also surrounded where people
engage in criminal activity having malicious intent through tracking and stalking an individual on
social media knowing each and every detail about such person, privacy is mainly affected. It also
give rise to terrorism, various scandals like sex, drugs, human trafficking. Other than that trolling
and bullying someone by tragetting them resulting in lossing their confidence which affects person
mentally and showcasing fake standards for youngster which forces them to indulge in such acts. In
todays time people are following social media as if everyhing placed before them is utter truth but in
reality it is all fake. Harassment and extortion on sites infringing or violating individual right to
privacy are also seen. The essay mainly talks about influence of social platform on peers which
result them to engage in criminal activities. It discusses about its impact on various social groups in
general and its effect in their lifestyle which further generated crime engagement by taking
advantage of such medium attracting young childrens towards it. Moreover, it elaborates
requirement and urgency to set inquiry and investigation on such matter enforcing certain limitation
to protect and safeguard privacy of individual.
