In today’s globalised world no one is a citizen of one country. Every human being is the
member of society. The world has become global village. In this globalised world there has
insurance on borders. Everyone is moving beyond their nation or state. Human beings are living
into interconnected nation along with important customs in transnational level. In this essay,
advantages and disadvantages of social media has been described with different concepts and
models of globalization or global connectedness.
As discussed open citizen is referred to someone who sees themselves as emerging
people of modern world. Global society refers to one single collaborative culture where people
from different backgrounds, cultures and mindsets become the part of a single community.
As human being nowadays living in interconnected society across the world, it opens up
a large scope of growth for both the individuals as well as the business. Global connectedness
also encourages the individuals to broaden their thinking.
Global connectedness has a major influence on the national identity in terms of
advancement of the national identity as well as the decline of it. On the other hand, global
connectedness can be considered to have negative impacts on national identities in certain
countries.
One of the major issues that arise from the global connectedness is the disease. As the
global connectedness allows people to move freely from one country to another, a person easily
can carry diseases with him, which becomes a major threat to the country.

When one having some infectious disease moves to a less developed country the chances
of becoming it a huge threat to the country is relatively high.
People, who are the native of the country, are the most affected people of such health
scare. As people immigrate in a large number in that particular country, it can become a deadly
epidemic in those less developed countries.
A recent case can be mentioned as the instance when the Ebola virus spread in the
African countries. The chances of spreading the epidemic high in the neiboughring countries like
the United States and Canada. The disease not only African countries but it created a panic
across the world.
When Africa was affected by the Ebola virus, the entire world put a ban on immigration
of the African people. An informal embargo was imposed on the African citizen that had an
adverse effect on the economy of third world countries. The imported products from the country
might contain some elements that can cause such epidemics in other countries.
The products that are manufactured and imported from that affected country, must be
scrutinized and tested in order to assure that further epidemics can be prevented. As a result of
free movement, such deadly diseases can spread from one country to another.
The identified global issue can be prevented and control with the advanced medicines.
The evolution of medical technologies has the capabilities to detect the health issues at the right
time. Some recommendations can be made in order to have a control over such conditions in
future. Firstly, medical advancement can be the main tool through which such major health
consequences can be detected and the risk factor can be reduced on the population.
