of the companies are placing high level of emphasis on providing patients with suitable
medicines through undertaking RD activity. Hence, now Merck is facing high level of
competition from the companies like Irvine Scientific, BD Biosciences, Lonza, Thermo Fisher
scientific, GE healthcare life science and Sartorius Stedim Biotech. For coping up with such
competitive situation it becomes vital for Merck to build strong presence on social media sites.
Hence, the present report will shed light on the extent to which presence of rival on social media
sites are good.
MAIN BODY
From assessment, it has found that all such concerned pharmaceutical companies make
focus on placing advertisements on social media sites such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
with the motive to reach large customer groups. Now, people are highly active on social site, so
by undertaking promotional campaigns on social sites firm can attract more people and thereby
enhance customer base.
