This hasprompted a comprehension of the requirement for 'sustainable development'. This is a form ofimprovement that perceives the interlinked idea of civilization, financial system and naturalworld that are capable of addressing the issues of the present without compromising the capacityof future ages to address their own particular issues (Aktas et al., 2015). As per UNESCO,Education for Sustainable Development [ESD] enables students to make educated choices andperform responsible activities for ecological uprightness, financial feasibility and a just and fairsociety, for the present generation and the generations which are yet to come, while consideringcultural diversity (Kapitulčinová et al., 2018). Therefore, inclusion of sustainability andleadership principles within the teaching programs of Russian universities appears to be amandate.Justification of the StudySustainability and leadership in the domain of higher education is about deep rootedlearning, and is a fundamental part of value training (Egorov et al., 2015). It is because educationfor Sustainable Development is all encompassing and transformational instruction, which tendsto learning substance and results, teaching method and the learning condition (Annan-Diab &Molinari, 2017).
