INTRODUCTION
Economic analysis is the study of the economic system which is related to the production
process or an industry. The main aim of this is to determine how the effectively the overall
economy with their operating (Cevik, Yıldırım and Dibooglu, 2021). Budget constraints is
boundary of the opportunities set which also includes the consumption that someone can afford
within the given price of the commodity and the income of the consumer. This respective essay
is based on analysing the budget constraint and the certain factors which is contributing to the
growth of the women and leads to get the career growth and gender equality at the workplace
across the UK.
PART A
Draw a diagram of the intertemporal budget constraint.
Income = 30000
Interest rate = 5 %
Interest earned = 30000 * 5% = 1500
Step 1
C = consumption
S = Savings
Y = Income
S = Y1 – C1
1500 = 30000 – C1
C1 = 30000 – 1500
C1 = 28500
C2 = Y2 + ( 1 + r) * Y1
= 0 + ( 1 + 0.05) * 1500
= 0 + 1575 = 1575.
Present value of Consumption = C1 + (C2 / (1 + r))
= 28500 + (1575 / ( 1 + 0.05))
Document Page
= 28500 + (1575 / 1.05) = 31500.
Present value of Income = Y1 + ( Y2 / (1 + r))
= 30000 + (0 / (1 + 0.05))
= 31500.
So, it can be analysed the the present value of income and consumption are equal.

2. Show the intertemporal pattern of consumption that maximises the utility and explain why this
is unique.
It is unique because -
It shows the combination of the C1 and C2, which happen to make the consumer happy.
The higher is the level of the indifference curves, the higher is the level of happiness of
the consumers.
The price which the consumer is willing to pay depends on the marginal utility.
The price of the goods decreases when the consumption of the consumer’s increases.

3. Draw a new diagram which shows the Robin's budget constraint.
The diagram shows that that the income in the year 1 if 5475 but in year 2 for the unpaid work,
he has worker for extra hours. It means inn year 2, the prospective income is 1825. and the total
intercept of the budget is 7300.

4. (a) When the hourly wage has decreased, make the budget constraint.
When the hourly wages decreased to 10, the income of Robin decreased. Which represented the
less income in both the years. The part of the saving and borrowing can be analysed through the
graph.

4 (b) The hourly wage of Robin has increased, now draw the supply sloping curve. Also describe
the circumstances under which the supply curve is downwards sloping.
It can be analysed from the above diagram that the supply curve is moving upwards with the
decrease in income. It means that Robbin has consumed the goods at higher prices with the low
income.
Circumstances:
1. When the producers are willing to produce more goods, the price of the products goes
up, it slopes downward.
2. The output increases and the production costs diminishes.
3. The price of the goods decline and the production increases.
PART B
What are the extent would increases the women's share of household's resources.
Automation is increasing day by day as the individual is working in the sole
consideration of attaining the particular task within the set time limit. Large number of people
are busy is using advance technology so that they can have the updated version of their machine

and also leads to complete the given task within the given time. AS the automation transform the
overall, working of any areas, when talking about the household's work, it is the basic duty of
both the gender to know to do such works and also leading to have the direct emphasis on the
various areas. This is the sole duty of the women and when people in UK understand their duties
at their homes(Čabo. and et. al., 2020). AS of now, it is considered that the type of task which
are men and women performing in the workplace then the women is expected to be more
responsible to their work and taking care of their home. There are certain job opportunities which
is analysed by the work so that they can understand the certain consideration of them in order to
have their workplace flexibility in their given job roles. There are various factors which is
helping the women to manage their home and their job also and these are further explained.
When the women is having advance technology in their working of household work and
also having use of advance technology so it would lead to reduce their time in working as the
household workers. AS studies the overall schenerio of the world, there is the less demand of the
workers as they don't considered the working time and if the automation is increase day by day,
it will Lead to increase the overall productivity of the women. This also helps in reducing the
average working week and creating more free time for all. By this women can look for the new
opportunities so that they can rightly use their certain consideration in the market and ave better
career growth and gender equality in the UK. Time is the main aspects which is having major
consideration to the growth of the business so that they can have the better options in the market
and also leads to have career growth of the individual across the UK.
Another aspects which is having major consideration to the success and the providing
equality to the women is taking emphasis on equalising unpaid labour. As the overall market
position of the women is linked with their homes(Brown, 2020). As per the report, it can be said
that 42% of carers are men and there are 58% of carers are women. When the governments IS
trying to reduce the overall working week then it is the effect of the automation by which all the
household working is getting doe easily and this also support the innovative approach for the
domestic and care arrangements in UK( Liu, Effiok and Hitchcock, 2020). AS the flexible
working is no longer the subject to the employers but also give the full control over the hours,
break and time which can establish the gender equality within the UK so that women and men
can easily share their earning and caring in their personal and professional lives. When the
company is having the automation which leads to increase the productivity and create more

wealth as this also reducing the overall number of jobs and they can redistribution that wealth in
the certain ways by which they can benefits the society. Furthermore, it is related to create the
end the gender segregation at the workplace so that it can have the proper emphasis in their
working(Baidya,Bera and Maiti, 2021). If the job looses affects the overall working of the lower
skilled staff often tends to be the women, they need to focuses on the upskilling and retraining.
This also leads to open the certain career change and offering various chances to the women and
men in order to have the higher growth and this also eliminates the gender discrimination at the
workplace from the personal and professional lives of the individual.
Government policies refer to the regulations made by the government of a country to
enhance the productivity and overall development of the people of a country. This is an official
declaration made by the government for a particular cause that benefits the weaker section of the
society and helps them attain the basic standard of living which they deserve. Women, all around
the world face a lot of issues be it in the working sector or at the household. Solely due to
adamant sexism in the minds of people have lead women to considered a weaker section of the
society. Women were not allowed to work. The feminism movement all around the world have
lead women to be at the workplace. Just being at the workplace does not terminate the other
problems that the women face. To consider these struggles of women, government formulate
such policies which help women to work as well as maintain the basic standard of living.
Traditionally, women have been considered to be working at the house for their family. They
still are required to work at home even if they are working in the industry. This calls for gender
parity at the workplace which is one of the major sustainability goal of the U.N. Gender parity at
work is the equal contribution of all the genders in the workplace.

such policies which help women to work as well as maintain the basic standard of living.
Traditionally, women have been considered to be working at the house for their family. They
still are required to work at home even if they are working in the industry. This calls for gender
parity at the workplace which is one of the major sustainability goal of the U.N. Gender parity at
work is the equal contribution of all the genders in the workplace.
As discussed above, the government policies look after the advancement of the weaker
section of the society. The main focus of the policy formulation are the equal pay at work,
prevention of harassment at the workplace and investing in a brighter future for women. The
government come up with advanced policies which help women at the workplace. Women's
safety is one of the major regulations that is constructed which requires the organisations and
different large scale businesses to set up a gender and safety cell at the business which would
look up for the safety at workplace. UK government has come up with different policies for
women and those are, the government come in partnerships with the businesses yo improve the
participation of women in the supply chain. The government have come up with flexible working
hours which would make it a bit easier for working women who needs to handle the household
as well after the working hours. By this the women can feel a bit relaxed and show up for the
work as well. The government has mandated the business to let women take maternity leaves
which are necessary for them. The government has also made policies to increase the knowledge
and support for delivering the women's economic empowerment through different programmes.
The business has also set up the work and opportunities for women fund (WOW) which takes
care for overall development of the policies.
The above mentioned policies of the government enhance the women's participation in
the workplace. By this the women's share in the household increases as they feel more secure and
motivated to work in such conditions which does not devalue their struggles.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from the above report that automation is the major aspects which is having
the significant impact on the overall household working. As in UK, there are more number of
females who are working as the house caretaker. There are various aspects which is having the
major consideration to the business and also having the benefits of automation as all the task is
done in easy time and also provide more opportunities to their employees so that they can have

the better working in their future career and also have the direct emphasis of the certain
government polices which is also contributing to the growth of the woman in their personal and
