INTRODUCTION
The concept of social science in the wider sense helps in studying and understand the
manner in which individual behave and how it influences the aspect in the social world. It helps
in understanding how the society functions and how it behaviours relative to various factors that
can influence the behaviour within the society. In addition to this, it helps in understanding if
changes in society can help in improving the lives of others in the society and to what extent.
The following essay will discuss on the topic of childhood and health & well-being and gain the
understanding through concepts and theories if social science can help us to better understand
our lives and the lives of others in the society.
MAINBODY
The concept of social science refers to a group of academic disciplines that help in s
examining society. It is refereed to a brand of science studies and helps in understanding how
people interact with each other along with how they behave and influence the world. The social
science is import concept as it develop better institution and systems that affects people's lives.
The social science allows individuals to understand how to intact with the social world and how
to develop networks and influences policies.
Childhood
As young children engage with each other through their play and daily activities, they
begin to show interest in the world that surrounds them. This makes it vital for early childhood
educators to capitalize on these interests and carefully plan a variety of experiences with social
studies in mind in order to cultivate and extend a young child's deserve skills and ability which
will allow them to form and voice their opinions along with providing them the ability to solve
problems and perceive diversity and inequality. The overall foundation for an early childhood
education is based upon the relationship that the child develops relative to their homes,
community along with schools (Qvortrup., 2020). In context to mentioned setting the child meets
new friends and learns how to get along with others as they share their opinions and engage in
decision making.
The concept of social studies offers various valuable component in supporting early
childhood learning as it is able to identify real world problems and is involved in developing an
inclusive along with a caring democratic society. Through social studies a child is able to explore
and he curious to ask question about social systems and norms long with value that affect human
