Migration started in Australia with the advent of natives who had their origin from
Tasmania came to settle in the Australian territory. In the year 1901, Australia had adopted
the policy allowing only the migration of whites in their country forbidding the entry of the
non-whites in their country. With the passage of time there was an increase in the number of
people who migrated to the country of Australia. The British were the first to migrate to the
country and establish colonies. The immigrants occupied a large share of farmers and
builders and were larger in ratio than the females.

there are a number of issues that are experienced by them. There are a large number of people
who are unable to attain jobs there as they lack the necessary skills that are fulfill the main
criteria. It is regarded that despite possessing the skills and proficiency in language, some
individuals are unable to get employment opportunities (Turner 2017). There is a prevalent
discrimination that occurs in the country that shows that hatred that is possessed by the
natives. Discrimination occurs on the basis of race, gender and ethnicity. The issues of
oppression are also reported by the migrants. The sense of being unable to attain a job despite
having the necessary qualification creates a sense of despair amongst them.
