INTRODUCTION Data analysis is the process by which analyst uses different techniques and method toextract useful information from the raw data available. There are various data analyticstechniques which are used by the analysts such as quantitative and qualitative techniques. Now-a-days, researchers make use of statistical software for the quantitative data analysis purposesuch as Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The aim of the current assignment is touse SPSS to examine socio-demographic, baseline and treatment factors that are associated withthe decreased CD4 count in patients who are HIV positive across 25 states in Nigeria. It will beexamined through applying various statistical methods like descriptive statistics, bivariateanalysis, chi-square test and multinomial logistic regression as well. Patient on ART = YesFrom the results derived, it can be seen that under the age group, majority of the patientswith HIV positive in Nigeria on Art have an average age of 26-35 years. However, under thebase weight category, most of the patients reported a mean weight of 51-70 kg and mean baseCD 4 count of 201-350 cells/mm3. Out of the total population 5320, 3943 people were reportedalready on ART and rest of the population has been excluded from the analysis. On the otherside, standard deviation which measures dispersion or volatility between actually observed valueand their mean value is founded greatest for the age group to 0.992 showcase that candidate’sage significantly varies from each other (Brown and Behrmann, 2017). However, gender, base2
