Research Question
The research questions for this particular research based on three different political
news related to political science has been discussed. The research questions are as follows;
a. Discuss the spending’s based on Brexit and the European elections.
b. Discuss the major five challenges facing the new labour leader.
c. Discuss the major relevant points of Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership.
All these three questions are quite relevant to the following assignment because these
work is based on the political scenarios and different news based on politics. The report here
has presented three different cases of politics that have been published in the BBC news
website (bbc.com 2020). The following questions deals with the discussion of the post Brexit
situations like European voting, selection of the new leader of the labour party and the
relevant points in the outgoing leadership of Jeremy Corbyn (bbc.com 2020).
Relevancy of the Question
All the questions addressed here are relevant as they are directly selected from the
political arena and has direct political links. The selection of the Brexit crisis and the relevant
political news of the labour party is surely a great selection (bbc.com 2020). Apart from this
the justification of the questions has also been done exactly in a great manner that has helped
to ensure success.
Addressing the Research Question
The first question deals with the spending’s based on Brexit and the European
elections. The news here highlights the outspending of the Brexit party running to the final
elections of the European Parliament. The voting saw the poor performance of the Tories,
which has been one of the worst records in the history of the party (bbc.com 2020). Due to

such a situation, the electoral commission has formally launched a formal investigation into
the spending of the organization.
The second news in the process is the selection of Sir Keir Starmer as the chief of the
labour party. The main highlights of the news were the different challenges that has to be
faced by the new leaders (bbc.com 2020). The very first challenge has been Coronavirus or
Covid 19, which has been a pandemic for the last few months and has engulfed the whole
global population. Secondly he has to address the different policies and create new ones
(bbc.com 2020). Anti-Semitism tackling and choice of a new and dynamic team will be the
next possible challenge along with making the labours electable and a respectable position
(bbc.com 2020).
The last question deals with the achievements and role of Jeremy Corbyn in his role
of the leadership as the chief of the labour party (bbc.com 2020). He was always opposed by
a majority of the MP’s in the labour party but still he brought discipline and tried hard to
eradicate anti-Semitism (bbc.com 2020). He was the first to criticize the role of UK in Iraq
War and earned accolades for saying sorry to the residents of United Kingdom (bbc.com
2020).
