This research proposal aims to identify and detail the extensiveness and seriousness of bullying both in the context of adults in the workplace and among children at school. It aims to examine the scenario of harassment and bullying at the workplace and at school, targeting to demonstrate the differences and similarities among the behavior of the participants. The research proposal aims to identify the probable effects of bullying towards mental health and future growth among students and adults.

Title: Bullying at the school and at the workplace
Introduction
Bullying is one of the distinctive patterns towards humiliating and harming others
who tends to be younger, weaker both morally and physically. It is not an aggression relating
to the garden variety but a repeated and deliberate attempt that tends to cause harm the others
who tends to have less power (Einarsen et al., 2018). In the school, harassments or bullying
are some of the major examples of the terms that are generally utilised for illustrating the
aggressive, negative and the unfair nature or the behaviour that is being directed towards the
peers. In the context of employment, bullying includes the intention of aggressive or hurtful
nature or behaviour for subjugating, harming, insulting and humiliating the targeted
colleagues, subordinates and the workmates. The thesis statement of the essay argues with the
fact hoe bullying at the school and at the workplace tends to affect individuals and their
mental health.
The purpose statement for the proposal
The aim or the purpose of this research proposal is to identify and detail the
extensiveness and the seriousness of bullying both in the context of the adults in the
workplace and among the children at the school. This research aims to examine the scenario
of the harassment and bullying at the workplace and at the school side by side targeting to
demonstrate the differences and similarities among the behaviour of the participants
including the children and the adults in various methods and the procedure of bullying
(McDaniel, Ngala & Leonard, 2015). The research proposal aims to identify the probable
effects of bullying towards the mental health and the future growth both among the students
and the adults.

The research question for the research proposal can be the following:
1. What are the effects of bullying on children in the school regarding their mental
health?
2. What are the impacts of the bullying on individual at the workplace towards their
career growth?
3. What are the similarities among the nature of the bullying in the school and at the
workplace?
4. What are the differences among the nature of the bullying in the workplace and at the
school?
Thesis statement
The thesis statement for the research proposal argues how bullying is serious and
harmful for both the children in school and the adults at the workplace. The research
furthermore argues with the extent of the impact of the harassment or bullying on the mental
health and the development among the children in the school as well as the adults at the
workplace when they get bullied by their fellow workers, superiors or opposite gender
(Wilson & Nagy, 2017). The study aims to illustrate the nature or the form of the verbal and
the non verbal communication that are associated with bullying that tends to affect the
interpersonal relationship with the targeted victim.
Readership for the project
My position in this research paper is the role of the researcher. The readership of this
project is the audience of the research paper who are the professor of the university who will
be reading this paper. Besides this, the readership for the project includes the future scholars
who can use this research study for further research and analysis.

Explanation of personal insight for the task
I believe that I am personally the correct person for taking up this topic for doing
extensive research on it since my best friend and I have experienced bullying at the school at
one point of time. I have furthermore heard how some of my friends in the university faced
bullying when they joined their first job. The effects of the bullying to the people with soft
heart and sentimental mind are very impactful. This particular study thus aim to highlight the
psychological effects of bullying and how it impact’s one’s mind and the process of their
personal development.

The time line that would be perfect for executing the task effectively can be
