Introduction
The notable purpose of this summary report is to focus on the software testing standards
which are universally accepted. The testing protocols and procedures of software will be
highlighted in the paper (Ruy et al., 2015). The software testing standards which are maintained
in each of the software testing organizations will be presented in the paper in an organized
manner.
The software testing standards are very much important for maintaining the quality of
service offered by the software. The paper which will be evaluated in this assignment is the

Palacios, 2018). The following unit of the paper will be highlighting the description of the
selected paper.
Description of the selected paper
The paper which is selected for this assignment is toward a consistent and strictly model
based implementation of the ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 for early testing activities. The selected paper
helps in understanding the concept of model based testing, test management, mutation testing
and the software testing life cycle. The paper successfully identified the application of the model
based interpretation of software standards such as ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119. The software
complexities which are needed to be focussed has been stated in the paper as well (Sneed &
Seidl, 2017). The challenges of the software testing procedures have been presented in the paper
as well. The paper helps in outlining the ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 standard. The subsequent unit of
the report will be very much important to understand the disadvantages of the selected article.

Limitation of the selected paper
The segments of the paper highlight the most important aspects of ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119.
However, the paper fails to identify the limitations of this software testing standards. The paper
is written entirely in a generalized manner. Convolutions of the dynamic test process as well as
the test management process were not mentioned in the paper which could have been more
helpful for the readers of the paper to understand the concept of ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119. The
complexities of the software testing life cycle was also not represented in the paper. The next
section of the paper will be evaluating the chosen software testing standard.
Chosen Standard
The chosen standard of this paper is ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 which is an internationally
agreed set of standard which is exclusively practised in most of the software testing
organizations. This software testing standard can be exclusively used in the software
development life cycle procedure (van Veenendaal, 2016). This software testing standard can be
further categorized in to numerous sub categories in terms of the concepts and design like
ISO/IEC 29119-1:2013, test processes such as ISO/IEC 29119-2:2013, test documentation such
as ISO/IEC 29119-3:2013, test techniques such as ISO/IEC 29119-4:2015, keyword driven
testing such as ISO/IEC 29119-5:2016. The following unit of the report will be explaining the
reason behind choosing ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119.
