1. Introduction
The use of software has become an integral part of every IT sector and within every
business. This software might be written and developed with the help of developers who would
develop it for custom use by different organizations. As this software is mainly used by various
established organization, hence the process of testing of this software should be highly robust.
This would prove to provide many kind of benefits for the people and organisation. In many
cases, it has been seen that the cost of testing of the software have majorly exceeded the
developing process (Hass 2014). There are some standards based within software engineering
that would be developed based under the convention of IEC JTC1’s SC7 or ISO, which have
been mainly been identified as certain employing terms. The definition of such kind of standards
based on software testing would vary mostly between the standards.
2. Responses to questions
2.1 Name of the Standards
The name of the standard discussed in the paper is the International Organization for
Standardization (ISO), which holds the responsibility of creating and maintaining a large suit of
various technical reports (TR) and international standards (IS). The ISO standard have frequently
been used with a wide range of combinations. There are various organizations that make use of
this standard in order to secure their systems and test their software (Henderson-Sellers et al.
2014). These organizations also feel the need of combining different software standards that
could be collected from various sources. The different processes are based on quality
management of the developed software, testing of the software during the development
processes.
