Executive Summary
Innovation forms an important aspect of the organization and any organization which wants to
achieve success in the long run is required to innovate and come up with more eco-friendly ways
of doing business. The primary aim of the given report was to understand the different innovative
scopes which exist in a business environment with respect to the tourism sector and come up
with one idea which can be successful. Hence, the idea of solar camping tents have been used

Introduction
Innovation forms the key aspect of any industry and with the recent developments in the
field of technology and other aspects related to the hospitality, it is important for any industry to
ensure that it is able to provide value offerings to the different consumers and based on this, it is
able to bring out new products for the market which when used, be cost effective and valuable to
the different customers (Thomas & Wood, 2014). The aim of the report is to go through a wide
range of innovative ideas and select one of them for the development and analysis. The benefits
of the innovative idea will also be provided.
Methodology
The methodology which shall be followed for the given report is as follows:
ï‚· Ten different ideas will be analyzed which shall be applicable to the innovative aspect in
the tourism industry
ï‚· One of the ideas shall be chosen for developed
ï‚· The external market shall be analyzed effectively and the idea which has been chosen
shall be developed for further analysis
Development of ideas
Innovation cannot be restricted to a particular domain and various ideas can be developed
for the success of the industry. The different ideas which have been developed have been stated
as follows:
1. Edible cup- This cup can be consumed and can contributed towards the saving of paper.
2. Easy check-in service- Online checking so that thee tourists can directly avail to their
rooms.

3. Mobile money transfer services- So that the travelers can travel cash less.
4. Remote control available in the room- This shall promote automated services and
technology which shall improve customer service.

other means (Zach, 2016).
7. Technology that is wearable: Like smart watch and shoes

One idea development and analysis
Although there are a wide range of ideas which are available for the organization at large,
not all of them can be chosen for implementation. Hence, for the implementation aspect, the idea
related to the Solar Camping Tents has been selected (Oxford College of Marketing., 2017). The
reason why the solar camping tents have been chosen is because to take a break from the daily
life, camping serves as an interesting escape. Moreover, using solar technology, the solar camps
can be used in order to ensure that the tents are safe and promote success.
Value proposition of the idea and innovation to attract the different customers
The solar camping tents as described in the diagram has been designed in a manner such
that they are practical ergonomically. The tents will be bright as well as quirky and will comprise
of a USB adaptor with lithium batteries (Armstrong et al., 2015). When this shall be connected to
a solar panel, an individual who will be camping using this tent will be able all their electronics

charged and get lighting facilities as well. Hence, the given camping tents aim to attract the
different consumers by providing them with innovative solutions. Camping becomes quite
difficult in nature when the electronics refuse to function (Weidenfeld & Hall, 2014). Hence, for
this purpose, the tent will be attracting the customers who enjoy camping and would be able to
enjoy the technological aspects as well.
