The US is one of the most developed and fast-growing countries of the modern 21st
century. There are many problems that are often faced by the students who go abroad for
studying. One of the major problems that exist in the US is the problem of bullying. Every year a
huge number of students become the victims of bullying. The problem of racism often comes
into play in this context. Often the students that are the natives of US do not really accept the
students who come from other ethnic or racial backgrounds. Almost 1 out of 3 students in the
American schools get bullied every year particularly between the ranges of 6th to 10th grade.
About 160,000 students become dropouts. They are extremely afraid and traumatized by the
experiences that they get from the bullying at school (Juvonen & Graham, 2014). Apart from
them, there is also the chance of cyberbullying as well. Many of the school students are also
threatened or are abused online. The LGBT youth are also very vulnerable to the chances of
bullying (Azeredo et al., 2015). The major problem is that often the students that are being
bullied are too afraid to go the police or to any other adult members who might help them out.
This is also because the families often stay silent on this issue or do not really count the words of
the children. The school authorities are also mostly silent on this and do not really take any
strong actions. So, bullying in the schools is a major problem for US that needs to be
checked (Boden et al., 2016).

the concept of bullying. They must always ask the children about their day to day experiences at
school. They must also enquire about the behavior of the teachers, the bus drivers and also the
seniors and the classmates at school. This will be very advantageous to check bullying because
this will create freeness and frankness among the children and the parents. Even if the parents are
busy at work the whole day, they must make sure that at the end of the day they have a clear
conversation with their children. They must explain to their children the concept of bullying and
also the gestures, the words and the actions of others that are the signs of getting bullied. They
must also teach their children that if ever they feel bullied, they must immediately report it to the
adults. They will also teach the children about the adults that they can trust with. This will
remove any kind of hesitations from the minds of the children (Lee et al., 2017). They will have
this faith and confidence within their parents and their caregivers that they can easily come up
and share about any and every kind of experiences that they experience at their school or at any

the different ways of managing stress and conflict. They must take the children to different social

kindness among the children to make sure that there is no place of bullying among in the lives of
