Introduction Unemployment, in India is an extremely crucial issue that requires effective solution in
order to solve the rising problem. This essay will identify and argue the solutions that are
available in order to solve the problem of rising unemployment are relevant or not and
which policies can be further recommended.
As per the view of Schmid (2015), researcher has tried to present clarification on the
controversy of rising unemployment in India despite planned development initiative. The
researcher has analysed the data computed by National Sample Survey Office (NSSO). He
argues that rural and urban unemployment can be interlinked together and the rural
employment is a much more crucial issue that urban unemployment.

Problem of unemployment is directly related to economic condition of that country
(Shivdas and Chandrasekhar, 2016). For reduction of the occupational unemployment
policies are made such as apprenticeship schemes aims to provide employment to new
skills through incentives of finding work. The government of India have revised tis
taxation policies and have with cutting of taxes by increasing the minimum taxable
income. This leads the lower income sector exempt from paying tax and a large part of
income is saved. Also, in 2016 demonetization was done where old currency notes were
banned and new currency was introduced in the nation. This was to bringing out the black
and stoked money and increased liquidity and rotation of the currency in the Indian
economy.
There are many policies that the government of India has formulated in order to increase
employment level of people and yet maximum of them have either failed or have not
yielded the desired results. The major reason behind this is improper implementation with
poor follow-up practices. The government of India can formulate committees whose sole
purpose is to regularly monitor implemented policies and ascertaining actual results so
that they can compared with the estimated ones and the reasons for these deviations can
