SOLVING PROBLEM AND MAKING DECISION 2
Background
One of the famous organization in Saudi is Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS). This is an
independent organization owned by the Saudi Arabia government. This organization covers
amenities of the whole Saudi airspace and delivers the air traffic management, air navigation
systems including the maintenance, operations, and procurement of all air navigation systems
kingdom-wide, such as the aeronautical information management (John, 2011). This
organization has been created as a corporatized organization on 01/07/2019. This organization
transforms the air navigation sector of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). This
organization by providing world-class services has become a regional ANSP leader (Waleed,
2013). This is also known as a vision of SANS. This organization has the mission to provide
cost-efficient, reliable, and safe services by investing in a strategic partnership and technology.
There are 16 towers and 1828 employees to operate the service of SANS (Xiaoqian & Wandelt,
2014). I am working in this organization as an aeronautical communication engineer. My role in
the organization is to install, plan, and maintain avionics communication, cryptographic,
navigation, and ancillary systems. These are the vital system for safe flying with the maintenance
of flight and correct installation. The daily duty covers the specific part by keeping records and
performing scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs. 37 to 40 hours is a basic working week.
Some of the pre-flight checks took place outdoors in all conditions of weather.
Present situation (Analysis of the problem)
There are many conditions or preconditions that act as precursors to incidents or accidents. I
faced the problem of communication gap.

Lack of communication
Lack of communication appeared at the top of casual factor and can contribute to accidental
reports as an aeronautical communication engineer. The problem harmed the instruments in the
prevention of hazards. Lack of communication is one of the most crucial element (Kinsey, The
Chron).
Scope
In the role of an aeronautical communication engineer, the lack of communication holds the
omission or misunderstanding. This can lead to the influence of workplace culture. The lack of
communication can be both unsafe and bad. These follow unwritten behaviors or rule (Gopsill, et
al., 2015). This deviates the procedures, instructions, and rules. These enforce the peer pressure
and force of habit. The lack of communication not builds possible situations for the workers to
express concerns about unsafe norms and peer pressure (Gopsill, et al., 2015).
Affects in the workplace
Lack of communication could lead to an aircraft accident and maintenance error. Lack of
communication can cause problems in installation of components within the organization. Lack
of communication affects the organization, employees, and services in a negative way. Lack of
communication can cause problems during a change of shifts. Steps in the procedure of
maintenance are not able to verify due to the installation of components hiding the work. A lack
of communication could result in the continuation of work without certain required operations
without performance (Porter, 2013).
Achievements
Good communication is essential as an aeronautical communication engineer. This will endeavor
the environment of aviation. This is the best possible decision from the set of alternative

decisions with accurate information. In the industry of aeronautics effective communication is a
pre-requisite of safety. Effective communication will increase the level of safety in the context of
operations. Effective communication will improve all the fields of organization (Carter, 2011).
Result
The gap of communication appeared the two outcomes safety-related and operational.
Operational outcomes include the cancellation of flight and delays. These will harm the
performance of the SANS. The lack of communication can lead the number of accident tends.
The lack of communication could result in the bad performance of the organization by causing
the failure of the system. In the aspects of an organization, this could lead the latent failures in
the catastrophic event in aviation. This could lead the errors in procedures of an organization.
This would lead the distinctive criteria and different approaches to proceeds within the
organization (Lacoursiere, 2018).
Investigation and identification of possible solutions
Development of communication skills will reduce the conflicts that widespread in SANS. These
will directly interface the approach of safety. Following are the identification of possible
solutions.
Communication and automation
Automated systems and people both are connected and have to work in harmony to solve critical
problems. Devices and programs of training can be adapted, designed and developed to
congruent in the local culture. Developed communication skills with the scholar curriculum will
justify the collection of information on safety reports and flight recordings. Better interpersonal
communication with the numerous transmission networks and high technical data will be a

meaningful resource for the SANS. Effective communication is a key component for the role of
an aeronautical communication engineer. This is necessary to focus on communication between
maintenance personnel. This is necessary to proper coordination with the handover of a shift by
focus exclusive maintenance.
The documented policy of communications
Communication policy with a different background will encourage a different background in an
effective manner. Official documents with a formal policy of communication will translate the
channels of communication in an effective manner. By switching the different channels it will be
efficient for better communication. This will be a powerful element in communication with the
use of project-specific communication tool. Putting information into chat boxes will make a good
touch with the varying zones of time.
Hierarchies are necessary for the air navigation services with the role of aeronautical
communication engineer. Subordinates are the lower rung in the hierarchy of SANS. Feedbacks
from the subordinates will emphasize the terms of organization progression. Constructive
criticism will help the organization to flourish by encouragement. Gape of communication can be
filled by switching the different channels of communication. The communication by email can
be an effective solution with a powerful description of the setting up of meetings, collaboration
on projects, and generating task list. Slack can be generated for sharing knowledge and holding
discussions. This can be viewed as a tool of communication.
Controllers and pilots can avoid misunderstanding by providing the information in advance.
Pilots and controllers of the flight must develop the sensitivity the capture the range of available
signs. There should be flexibility for the attitude change that may cause and deteriorate an
accident. This should be necessary to establish immediate communication for significant change

including change of weather, conditions, wind speed or direction, surface, and visibility that
assist in planning. Aspects by modeling the system for reporting of performance and procedure
of management with the identification of staff to solve the affected performance of check.
Evaluation with the existing structure of reporting that could submit. The report focused on the
unique aspects of safety and performance.
As a role of aeronautical engineer designs, test, and supervision can be done to the manufacture
of spacecraft and aircraft with the prototypes to provide the surety to functions according to
development of technologies and design for use in aviation, exploration, and defense systems. As
a specialist for areas such as communication, control, and navigation, guidance, structural
design, or protocol methods should be covered with the design and analysis of the perform
research and development.
Evaluation of possible solutions
Decision making is a perceptive selection for a course of action from among multiple
alternatives. This produces a choice of action with the determination of opinion for choice or
action to determine the behavior of decision-makers with the profound influence on the
performance of a task. This is an aeronautical environment that involves a pertinent decision.
This is important because of the safety consequences (Ponting, 2018). ADM is a systematic
approach used by the air navigation service team for the determination of the best course of
action in a set of circumstances.
Process of decision making can be improved by the uses of a human factors training course that
emphasizes decision making. Decision-making process for aeronautical engineer should cover
the broader context with structure attitude and most importantly operational situations of

behaviors. Decisions of aids are a supporter as an aeronautical engineer and avoid aids (Ponting,
2018). These are particularly beneficial in stressful situations and critical time. Proper planning
with the common understanding by the crew of planned actions, required callouts, limits,
changes or corrections of plans. These can be developed for the necessary obvious of complex
environments. The design of decision aids should be based on both research and center of users.
This will ensure the limitations to process information in complex environments with the
processed information to design the process. The decision aids can be advisory with sufficient
time for decision making to weigh the proposed alternatives. The perspective of decision-making
aids matches a single decision in a particular situation. The automated response of a system is the
ultimate prescriptive. These are only viable with complete confidence as the role of an
aeronautical engineer. The supplement of human capabilities by the high-performance levels
accomplished, enhanced memory and perceptions with the required optimizing risk and
managing pressure of time (Ponting, 2018).
This will help to make the decision with the environment of a team in a natural part. The
principles of decision making will enhance the context of error avoidance. This will provide
improve theoretical grounding with a broader understanding. This is important that aviation of
the decision-making process should include the choice of optimum solutions. Extreme pressure
of time and uncertain conditions will be sufficient for providing the sure safety with the
minimization of public, economic, and public relations consequences. The process of decision
making can be addressed by the divert of flight due to weather or adverse conditions of flying
involving upset of passengers and economic consequences. A diversion has proper decision
making by residual consequences with safe alternatives. In a complex environment, situational

awareness with the relevant experience and skills must be considered in the operational contexts
and broad human factors (Ponting, 2018).
Recommendation
The recommended safety management process will improve the ability of the operators and
manufacturer to take corrective action based on priority assessments of future risk. The current
procedure is highly effective that will indicate the contribution of aircraft system malfunctions in
careful structure to avoid consequences with the reduction of safety in some situations.
Priorities
Monitoring the safety will be essential to obtain exact levels of safety for resolving and detecting
possible with the validation of airworthiness standards. This is essential that SANS will improve
the safety management process with the manufacturer and operators of large transport. Engines
and airplanes should be effectively implemented by a proactive process of aeronautical
communication engineer. Manufacturing with the consent of operators will define the
requirement of data and the process of sharing data. Corrective actions with the potential safety
problems will provide the proposed actions to operators and manufacturer by effective regulatory
changes and mandatory compliance. The recommended safety management process will reduce
the number of systems with improving coordination. A system in place with the safety
management process will be widely accepted to analysis the risk system or methodology that is
necessary for the allocation of resources with appropriate time and effective action. This process
will correct the problem. An effective management process of safety will be accurately
monitored, communication, and measured by the effectiveness of corrective action. This will
help the SANS to proposed actions with the operations of airlines by the implementation of
solely regulatory changes.

Synergy process of decision making
The process of decision making is a meaningful resource as a role of aeronautical
communication engineer to assign the projects with the future behavior of the information. The
information can be integrated into the process of decision making. These are engaged with the
shift of decision making with the deliberate analytical process. The based simulations amend and
confirm models of situational awareness. A strategic approach incorporates the process of
decision making with the goal of safe development of flight. Decision-making process in air
navigation service for communication is based on commercial aviation.
