Part A
Question 1
“This we believe” section of the declaration of independence identifies an announcement about
clean air, water, and soil. Based on the declaration three areas where we can minimize our
ecological footprints go asunder.
 Judicious use of Fossil fuels, by promoting the use of bicycles and electric vehicles.
 Justified and repeat the use of plastic and polythene.
 Justified use of the water for personal consumption, minimization of the water wastage
by using correct taps and devices like fountains and water recycling technologies attached
to fittings.
Question 2
I agree with the first paragraph of “this we believe” section of the declaration where a concern
related to the extinction of biodiversity has been expressed. This section of the declaration raises
a poignant question related to the ecological balance of the components of Mother Nature.
Advance studies in the environmental science establish that every single organism present in the
surface of the earth is important because it is playing a certain role. Plants are releasing oxygen,
human beings are thriving for it, this way humans are dependent on the plants. Rains are
necessary for us to collect potable water, in the absence of the rains many areas of the world will
face famine and human civilization may feel this pang of extinction (McClure, 2020). Air
pollution is another area, chemical pollutants like Carbon and Nitrogen are polluting the air, and

the long term impacts of this pollution can cause dire consequences for future generations
(Crespo, 2020).
Humans are duty-bound to act as the powerful yet most responsible part of the Mother Nature,
the time has come when we are required to strike a harmony between industrial development and
preservation of the natural resources while abiding by the Triple Bottom line.
