1. Introduction
The activities that are undertaken by the sport managers or the coaches help in
maintaining the team performance. The different strategies that are applied by the managers of
the sport are dependent on the situation that is faced by the team and the manner in which
improvements can be facilitated in the team as per the requirements. As a coach for a team, I
must understand the psychological needs of the team members and motivate the members to
bring in positive results in the performance of the same.
The research question for the report is “Do goal setting programs encourage adults to
adhere to exercise programs?” The discussion will be held on understanding the manner in
which setting of goals helps in undertaking the proper management of the systems of the sport to
bring in improvements in the performance of the individual members. The delineation of the
goals and setting the activities that are required to be taken by the team members helps in
undertaking the proper management of the teams. Being an expert in the team dynamics, I must
take certain steps to adhere to the psychological needs of the team to bring in changes in the
performance of the same. On the other hand, fixing a goal for the team and taking continuous
hurdles are activities that might be taken to bring in improvements in the team performance.
The aim of the research is based on the understanding of the strategies that are

reviewing the current literature that will be helping me to understand the different aspects of the
