Sports Development2 Self Reflection: Sports Development Introduction Sports bring them together and encourage them to participate in a certain program. The sports development is referred to as a method that mainly delivers a social change through using sports. Moreover, sports development helps to build a strong and administrative coaching infrastructure in order to create various opportunities for an individual to take part in different sports activities. In addition to that, Sports development does not just help to eliminate leisure times; it also helps to find inspirations from elite and professional sports personalities. In order to elaborate myself development plan regarding the following context, I will elaborate on my career aspiration, key attributes, my strengths, areas for initiating further developments and will discuss a specific plan that will ensure my career development. I have followed the Foundation, Talent, Elite, and Mastery or FTEM framework to enhance my coaching career. I have observed that this framework is more user-friendly as it can deliver additional pathways for self-development and integrates a common and unique phase of self-development in the sports and coaching career of an individual. Career Aspiration I have identified that teamwork plays one of the major roles in developing a well-rehearsed skill set. It can motivate my team and as well as my colleagues.My career aspiration mainly includes my learning experiences, employability, competencies that help to develop and present a professional skill regarding the weightlifting. My career aspirations have taught me to explore various new ideas regarding the weightlifting career. In addition to that, sometimes I provide coaching to other athletes and look forward to consult a person who have a perception that it is quite a dangerous sport. I tend to train all those athletes that are inexperienced in this particular field and possess a minimum knowledge regarding the training techniques. Therefore, I want to use all of my training skills and experiences to provide guidance to the new commers while promoting the sports industry in Australia.Further, I must mention that, during my high school days, I was selected in the badminton team, where I had got the opportunity to learn basic skills of badminton, such as smashing techniques, footwork, delivery stances, and many others. Although, I have attended various other sports during my high school times, such as; football,
Sports Development3 volleyball, basketball, and even petanque. Therefore, I have managed to gain my career aspiration of being a sports developer from this particular phase of my life. My career aspiration help me learn about the commitments as it is one of the crucial components of a successful sports person that he/she should not be afraid to emphasize their failures and triumph in the sports career(Jones, Jones, Williams-Burnett & Ratten, 2017). Sports Development4 Key attributes The key attributes of my sports development career consist of excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, enthusiasm, energy and efficient communication skills. In addition to that, the key attributes of the chosen career is to mainly promote the sports and provide training to the athletes. I intends to promote various exercises that can improve the health and well-being of the athletes.My parents have supported me in taking my career decisions and they always understand my area of attraction. In addition to that, my parents never forced me to choose such a career that I do not like or it may feel a burden for me in the future. I mainly aim to develop my physical potential while changing my healthy lifestyle habits for lifelong.I have attracted to being a weightlifter as I found this sport is quite difficult than the rest of the sports and it requires to follow a completely different lifestyle all along (Navarro, 2015).Mainly I got immensely motivated by my elder brothers who have already been a successful weightlifter. My elder brother is a successful weightlifter and I completely follow him as my inspiration. I have realized that my brother possesses good mental and physical health as he has excellent focus and confidence and an attractive sporting attitude. Moreover, after meeting my brother’s coach at his training academy, the coach had made me feel like, that it is the perfect career option for me. He also stated to me that there are a lot of good and opportunities if I manage to become a National Weightlifter representative in Thailand.

I have discovered that strength training is one of the major aspects to work on. Furthermore, different exercised like resistance training, free Weight workout, machine workout, weight training, and multiple cardio pieces of training to increase muscle mamas and energy.My strong points reflects that why I have chosen sports as my career. I have noticed my physical abilities are quite higher than a regular person. Moreover, I can endure extreme physical stress as all sports persons need to transform their physical capabilitiesas such that it can bear extreme physical pressure. Furthermore, I love to stay fit and always look forward to learning new skills. In addition to that, I have learned several coaching skills, through which I can provide efficient training to the new comers.(Burke & Burke, 2017).
Sports Development6 Additionally, I have observed that I need to further work on my breathing as I found it as one of the most critical areas to work on. I have strong and endurable muscle mass that allows me to endure extreme pressure while doing an extreme training session.How I need to take my stance, how my hip positions would be and many more. Additionally, I have taught how can I avoid getting injured while lifting weights as it has been observed that there are many people out there who’s a career as a weight lifter was ended just because neglecting a mere precaution. I have participated in several domestic weightlifting competitions and have come as quite an achiever. Then my coach encouraged me to enter regional tournaments. I completely relied on this particular sport as I have identified this particular thing can effectively bring out the best in me and can brethren my future as a sports developer. Achievements I have been taught the Korfball skills at St. Joseph School. I have learned then basics of this game such as passing techniques, team plans, defending tactics and others. As I have got my first achievement in the age of 15, I have observed that there are many more to come, I just have to stick by my future objective. Moreover, in the year 2014, I have won many tournaments, as I have received 2 silver medals from National Youth Weightlifting Competition in Thailand. In addition to that, I have trained many athletes in Thai sports club, where i tends to develop the physical, mental and tactical abilities of the players. Moreover, I can teach the dynamics of warm-upand equipment setup methods after an intense training session.Finally, to ensure a continuous development plan in my chosen area of interest I have already planned different future planning. But, while doing a practice session I broke my ankle and injured my back and I have stopped following my dream. It took almost four months to get completely recovered. However, I have become quite fortunate that I managed to get the sports scholarship from Australia and I have looked forward to promoting this sport and will follow my dream further by providing pieces of training to the young talents (Pimjan et al. 2018).
Sports Development7 Conclusion It can be concluded that I have learned quite a wide range of career development aspects in the sports industry as a weightlifter. I have followed FTEM framework that proved me additional help to develop an understanding of how the sports industry works. I have learned how can overcome my failures and strengthen my week points. The game of weightlifting has taught me how to maintain a healthy life while following all the discipline and responsibilities. Moreover, sports taught me how to give respect to my fellow participants and help to understand how a leader can achieve the objective through working alongside the team. Moreover in developing a good career in the sports industry requires the utmost patience and the need to follow a disciplined lifestyle. I had chosen to be a successful weightlifter by getting inspired by several persons. My elder brother was one of them. But as had just started to visualize that my dreams are started to become true, an injury in my ankle and back had destroyed my career. However, after getting a sports scholarship and certificate from Australia, again I have started to follow my dreams through giving training to the newcomers and young talents who have the ambition to prove themselves in this industry.
