It is analysed that tourism in one of the sector that grows very rapidly. There are many
factors that impact on tourism sector (Ziping, 2019). One important factor is mega events such
as sports event. It greatly impact on tourism sector in a positive as well as negative way. In this
report, it is analyse impact of 2007 Cricket World Cup had on the Tourism Industry.

Tourism industry is one of the important emerging sector in which now countries focuses
on development of this sector so that it contributes in economy of organisation. It is very
important for organisation that they improve their travel and tour applications so that consumer

It is analysed form the study that mega events give a great impact on this sector. Mega events are
the large scale cultural events that invites a large number of population in the event. It requires

consumers of mega events. Mega events include Olympic games and FIFA world cup. It helps in
attraction of global audience as well as it shapes the world tourism patterns. One important mega
event that held in Caribbean destination (Dimitrov and Metodijeski, 2017). It was the 2007
Cricket World CUP. In this sector, travel agent and tour operator plays a important role. The role
of both person is mentioned below:

A travel agents plays a significant role in the organisation as it sell travel services and
products on behalf of a supplier. It is very important function of agent that they sell the products
that their country sell. In mega events they do marketing of events such as marketing of 2007
