Task 1: Teamwork [weeks 1 and 2]
This task consists of three parts:
1. Belbin Questionnaire
2. Scoring Key for Self-Perception Inventory
3. Written Discussion (300 words)
Part 1: Belbin Questionnaire
Belbin (1996) outlines the different type of roles people may have within a team. Complete the
following questionnaire to identify your main role(s). To complete the questionnaire:
1. In the far left hand columns in each section A-G tick the one, two or max. three sentences most
applicable to yourself. You may not choose more sentences than three.
2. Then in each section A-G in the column on the right, share 10 points between those sentences (i.e.
QN - question numbers) that apply to you. For example, you could give your first choice seven points
and three points to your second choice if one of sentences you feel sums you up well while the other
only applies some of the time. In some instances you might decide that there are two sentences
which apply to you equally – if this is the case, award five points to each. You may distribute 10 points
in any way you see fit.

This is a group task to be completed in Week 3 tutorial. With your team create a Code of Conduct
which will outline the professional conduct in your team during the preparation and delivery of the
Professional Skills presentation. Paste its screenshot in the space provided.
In your Code of Conduct:
 state the name for your team;
 list and explain the values that underpin the standards set by your team;
 outline the team’s agreements in terms of how work will be carried out and provide a list of
specific actions for situations where work is not carried out or is not up to the standard you

leader provide freedom to all members as well as flexibility that helps in motivate to employees. Team
members work together so they increase profitability and productivity in organization. They also can

Conflict management :- conflict is a common issue in organization that mismanage of culture of
organization. It means that issue and dispute create at workplace so team leader manage this situation

This is a group task. With your team use an Excel spreadsheet to create a Gantt chart for the preparation and delivery of the Professional Skills
presentation/video in week 9. Paste its screenshot in the space provided.
In your Gantt chart:
 name at least 5 key stages, i.e. summary tasks, for the work done during the Professional Skills module;
 identify the tasks for each group member, i.e. terminal tasks, and decide on start and end date for each of them;

You have created the Gantt chart for planning and managing the Professional Skills presentation
preparation and delivery. In this evaluation:
 Explain the rationale for the plan you have created and analyse your contingency plan for
the presentation taking into account specific strengths and skills of the various team
members;
 Recognise where you may need to monitor your team’s progress closely and potentially
allocate more time;
 Discuss the role of planning and managing the project, specifically in terms of the need to
meet the deadlines and moving the project forward.

Skills and strength is important for every team members in an organization that helps in achieve
organizational goal. Because different skills make effective team and it helps in increase public
relation and profitability of organization.
Communication skills :- it is an important skill for attract to customers and also do effective

so much important because through this every people express their feelings and helps in reduce and

Task 4: Professional Skills in Action
In the course of this module you were placed in groups of 4-6 and tasked with creating and
delivering a presentation. In this evaluation:
 Discuss what you would consider to be effective and what areas needed further
development in terms of building this team and completing the project:
o Explain how flexibility and creativity aligned with various roles team
members played;
o Describe how effective communication was achieved and its effect on
team-building;
o Review the decision-making processes that took place;
o Recognise where taking responsibility, ownership and acting on
initiative were effective and why;
 Select a critical moment during the group work and using Kolb’s (1984) reflective cycle,
discuss how you deepened your understanding of your own professional skills.

team building and all members work together with each other and helps as well (Baker, Salas,
Battles and King, 2016).
Decision making took place :-
Decision making is play vital role in whole above process that project given by organization to all
members of team. So this tool use by team leader for make decision because through this all work
operate smoothly. Firstly it chooses topic of project so it evaluates that what topic is closely related
to given situation by organization. Then it also analyses that material and information get easily on
which topic. So it making decision about topic of project after evaluation of all situation.
Then it takes decision about roles and responsibility so it evaluates capability of all employees and
also working capacity. So than it give responsibility to members of team. Through this type of
decision making helps in achieve organizational goal and increase profitability through reduce risk
of organization.
It takes decision that project is complete through limited resources alike budget and manpower so it
is a challenge for team members but it is helps in increase profitability. Decision making by team
leader also regarding of alternatives that it helps in provide alternatives to employees and timely
take action by team leaders so all these decision is taking by team leaders in this project (Fidalgo-
Blanco. 2015.).
Responsibility and ownership is initiative:-
Responsibility and ownership of team leader and members of organization is very effective during
work time. Because all members work together for single objective that helps in complete project.
In starting of project team leader provide roles and responsibility to all members of organization. So
conflicts also prevent through team work and all are work with their full efforts.
It also helps in evaluation of work that employees work is carry proper way or not so members of
organization use their responsibility for evaluate work and manage time of given work that
responsibility and ownership helpful for time and work management.
Kolb's reflective cycle and evaluate own professional skills.
Kolb's reflective cycle is helps in learn through experiment that helps in review own experience
about work and it is done through four stages. Through this model team leader and team member
provide review about work and their project it also provides information of situation, failed,
achievements and experience. Like :-
Concrete experience :- through this stage I consciously and physically get experience of every
work so I easily reflect my all experience and through this I learn many things that helps in increase
my skills and improve my existing skills. Like communication skills and coordinating skills is

increase and I take experience about project and make plan for complete and achieve goal of
project. I also feel that if employees do not work with together so conflict easily increase and team
building is weak (Schultz, McEwen and Griffiths, 2016).
Reflective observation :- through this situation I observed that many problems create in
organization during complete project and many achievements also get by me and my team as well.
So I observed also many situations and problem create in organization. Through my project I
observed that my team failed in complete work on time and take extra 20 days for complete their
project and I achieve that work is done perfectly so we won prizes well. Problem and issue create
related to budget because budget is less available. So in last moment we had adjusted of capital.
Abstract conceptualization :- through this situation I learn about tackle every different type of
situation and learn tactics for handle in future and in next project so I easily tackle it. This situation
base on reflective observation and it helps in tackle situation that may occur in the future. So all
members of team and me as well review literature and interact each other for new ideas and
understand it.
Active experimentation :- this stage of this model is helps in acquire theoretical knowledge that
helps in improve my skills and make new strategies in an organization that helps in achieve
organizational goal and meet objective in effective manner so I get new ideas and improve my skills
and knowledge through different experiment.
