Answer the following questions.
1. What are the differences in athletic administration between interscholastic and
recreational sport programs? What is the importance of having a mission statement in
any sport program?
The most prominent difference between interscholastic and recreational sport
programs are why they play. Recreational sport is more of a game where everybody
goes and has fun. Recreational leagues are designed for instructions where mistakes are
not as costly as in the interscholastic games. Whereas if the students in a school are
looking for a game where they have a chance to prove themselves and enjoys a thrill like
no one are known as interscholastic games.
Mission statement is important as because it defines the game rules, game
products, services and customers. According to the author Kort (2018) the mission
statement allows the players to differentiate it from the bother players of the team.
2. What are the four main areas that impact administrators? Provide an example of how
and administrator would handle a task in each area.
The four main areas that impact the administrators are with the registration of
the students, enrollment and admission of the students, managing the courses,
collaboration and communication among the teachers and the administration. For the
registration and administration the administration can make a proper poster that can
help the student to stand in a queue in order to pay the fees for the registration that will
help the school to function properly. The administration can upgrade with the latest
technological devices. The administration should adapt to the requirements of the
institution that is always changing and dynamic in nature. Also the department should
adapt a platform that will help the company to work with various types of stakeholders
like the students, staffs, administrators.

3. You are an administrator at a local high school. You believe that the school should hire
an athletic trainer for the athletes at your school. Outline a proposal that could be
brought to the school board to support your case.
4. Describe an evaluation tool that you would create to assess a college coach’s success.
What are the critical elements that you would include? Describe your philosophy in
creating the tool.
The Coach Assessment tool will be helpful in describing the following aspects of
the coaching session that should be assessed when recruiting a trainer for the athletes.
The Coach Assessment tool will be defining the health and communication skill of the
trainer. It will properly define the coaching skills, interpersonal skills, training session
content and structures and level of controlling the athletes. There will be also pre
session activities that will be checked for safety reasons . Session activities will be
arranged where a positive feedback session will have to be made that will be able to self
Background – The main aim of the proposal is to hire an athletic trainer who will
be able to train the athletes in the school. Due to the lack of the Physical
training classes the students are unable to play or enjoy the PT classes.

of the project. For the indented plan a time span of 2 months is provided to
recruit a proper trainer for the students.

5. What are the key aspects of facility and equipment management?
The key aspects of the facility and equipment management are :
 Program development where a large part of the sports facility management is known for
managing the program. The department ensures that the programmatic goals and the
strategies are utilized in order to achieve those goals.
 Cost containment is where the management team works hard to improve the
profitability of the sports facilities that are played in the school.
 Human Resources is required where there is a need of hiring and training the staffs, the
sports facilities advisory maintains the quality program which helps in ensuring the day
to day profitability of the sports facilities which should be cost effective.
 The team or the group also manages a good marketing team that will be able to attract
sponsors, drive revenue and promote the facilities within the team (Stark, 2015).
6. What are the key arguments for and against the “pay to play” policy?
The pay to play is a phase that is used widely in various types of situations where
money is required or exchanged for various services or the privilege to engage in certain
types of activities. According to the author Kort (2018) in few areas of the world the pay to
play factor is not legally used but this term also brings in much or little sponsor in order to
support the game or the match that will be played. According to the author Stark, (2015)
playing sports should be free in the schools but in some cases where there is a tournament
between the schools or colleges, a minimum amount of fees should be paid by the external
players to support the expenses that are made. I am completely against the notion of pay
and play as because games should be made free in most of the schools and colleges, as
because it comes under the co curricular activities which are beneficial in keeping the
students healthy and mentally stable.
