Brief description of the project
St. Joseph’s Hospital Centre for wound care and hyperbaric treatments is recognized
all over the world for its commitment in quality wound treatment and commitment to quality
care. The hospital wants to increase the ward capacity for severe wound patients from
accidents. The facility known for its quality care and treatment has had its existing facilities
stretched in the wake of increase in patients seeking to get treated (Argenti, 2018). Therefore,
the board and management of St. Joseph’s Hospital Centre has set aside $1.2 Million for a
fully equipped ward and treatment Centre. It has a capacity of more than 55 beds and can
treat unto 100 on a single day. It plans to use the large amount in hiring world class doctors
known for wound treatment, surgeons, nurses and general medical staff. It seeks to continue
with the treatment programs its known for and exceed the quality standards established for
hyperbaric facilities (Brinckmann, & Kim, (2015).
Structure of the hospital project
The explanatory memorandum contains information on the designation and location
of the projected facility: a sanitary description of the construction site and the adjacent
territory is given, a description of the individual building elements from the point of view of
justification of the designed sizes and volumes of premises, sanitary equipment, compliance
with climatic conditions, etc. Situation plan is the ratio of a building site and the projected

The Centre located is located at 4000 Medical Centre Drive in the Northeast Medical
Centre, Fayetteville provides treatment for wound patients whose wounds fail to heal or take
quite some time to heal. The team of experts employed by the Centre provides
comprehensive treatment for wounds caused by diabetes, traumatic injuries, radiation,
circulatory problems, accidents, surgical wounds and other circumstances.
Having specialized in wound treatment, the hospital receives personalized attention to
attain positive healing outcomes. The Centre was established to take care of the 10,000
patients yearly who suffer from prolonged wounds that are difficult to heal. The history and
the trend data for opening the ward is based by the sheer number of people seeking
specialized treatments and expertise in wound treatment.
Market analysis (including competition).
The market analysis for starting the project shows that the hospital needs a new ward.
The project is good for strategic business and as a Centre for excellence in wound treatment.
The competitions from other hospitals isn’t as good since St. Joseph has specialized in would
treatment unlike other hospitals who are general practitioners. With many people suffering
from wounds and deep cuts, the market tends to favor the strategy of expending the wound
center.
Medical buildings should be located at a distance of at least 30 m from the red line of
buildings, and the building of the clinic - at least 15 m (Dibrell, Craig,& Neubaum, 2014)..
